so far...

No worries lads, the good news outweighs the bad.

Thanks for posting, it's cheered me up a lot...especially those 2 words "so far"

Easy enough to stand our ground at this stage of the window. Hopefully the apparent speed and ease of the transfer is because we're getting a decent fee.

That's how I see it too!

He was always going to leave after tasting CL football. Shame it's with Arsenal though who can't offer him that lol

They do offer good physios though.

We must take Wengers trousers down and fleece them.

It won't be a problem for him. He seems to never get injured lol

Why wouldn't we? Swansea, a much smaller club than us, are demanding £40m for Sigurdsson. We'd be absolutely mental to let him go for under that.

This is Rudders we're talking about though... Maybe he wants some more flowers?

You've got a player who just had a pretty shite year and who has already confirmed he is unhappy at the club and wants to leave, the idea we've got bargaining power to demand what we want is ludicrous.

Yes but mahrez dicked us by demanding to leave publicly, it's forcing a cheap sale imo

We're not 'forced' to do anything.

Keep him if the fee's not right

I wouldn't sanction the deal until we've done our business. The second people know what we get for him the price will jump up for those we want.

Why do we have to bargain? He has 3 years left on his contract.

Tbf we hold all the cards. Like Babs said we need to get business done now before letting him go. We're also not in a position to actually sell him. We could hold on to him if we wanted too. I just hope we get a fee we deserve.

Just got to play a bit of hardball in that situation. No need whatsoever to sell, especially at a cut price.

So Arsenal coming in for Riyad ...    As in an offer ? ....   Not Riyad for Arsenal ....    Big difference.

Good point

Very valid point actually. Otherwise he may have said Riyad to Arsenal.

The absolute banter of a) people putting him down just because of last season and b) criticising him for joining Arsenal where he'll get more money and have a better chance of playing in Europe every season.

Remember the similar hysteria about Kante going to Chelsea for the same reasons? Jesus.

He will go there, they're the only club that's expressed any sort of interest and he wants out of here.

Kante didn't sign a lucrative new contact, throw his toys out and go running to the media, knowingly lowering our likely price in the process... lost respect for the way he's gone about it, not him wanting to leave.

Plus I hate Arsenal, but he'll fit right in with their half hearted, selfy taking, stupid haircut brigade.

You're probably right. As long as we get good money for him and find a suitable replacement, they're welcome to him.

Do you know what sort of fee we'll be looking at?
