Buzzell Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 He was always going to leave after tasting CL football. Shame it's with Arsenal though who can't offer him that

mozartfox Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 We must take Wengers trousers down and fleece them.

We'd be absolutely mental to let him go for under that. This is Rudders we're talking about though... Maybe he wants some more flowers? You've got a player who just had a pretty shite year and who has already confirmed he is unhappy at the club and wants to leave, the idea we've got bargaining power to demand what we want is ludicrous.

Babylon Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 I wouldn't sanction the deal until we've done our business. The second people know what we get for him the price will jump up for those we want.

Why do we have to bargain? He has 3 years left on his contract.
Buzzell Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 Tbf we hold all the cards. Like Babs said we need to get business done now before letting him go. We're also not in a position to actually sell him. We could hold on to him if we wanted too. I just hope we get a fee we deserve.

Just got to play a bit of hardball in that situation. No need whatsoever to sell, especially at a cut price.
Ozwin Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 Got to at least stretch it out until we've played them.
Babylon Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 Just another reason to despise Arsenal and hope they fail. He'll flop and end up on loan at Bornemouth within 18 months.

Richard Kingson Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 The absolute banter of a) people putting him down just because of last season and b) criticising him for joining Arsenal where he'll get more money and have a better chance of playing in Europe every season. Remember the similar hysteria about Kante going to Chelsea for the same reasons? Jesus.

Kante didn't sign a lucrative new contact, throw his toys out and go running to the media, knowingly lowering our likely price in the process... lost respect for the way he's gone about it, not him wanting to leave. Plus I hate Arsenal, but he'll fit right in with their half hearted, selfy taking, stupid haircut brigade.
