He can move to a better team than Arsenal but if they are the only club interested and he wants to leave, where else can he go?

LCFC's bench watching Gray ripping Premier League defences.

Not the only one; there's a few comments and replies that seem to have been deleted from this thread?

screenshot's been deleted, but it did exist.

Yes he can.

Vardy can have the ball from the halfway line and in the net in a flash.

That wasn't my opinion. I was quoting a post

I think you'll find that isn't a view shared by the vast majority of football supporters

I really don't rate Ozil.  We wouldn't have won the league if we'd have had Ozil instead of Mahrez.

All this "he was double marked", "his team mates are shit" stuff.... his bloody basics were way off far too often. Whether he had one man near him or two, whether his team mates were shit or not... that's his bloody issue!

He can be brilliant, but I'm sorry he just wasn't at the races enough personally!

Are they direct quotes?

Yes. They definitely are direct quotes.

In no way are they a way to explain that the PFA player of the year playing for the team that won the Premier League who scored over 20 goals and become famous throughout the world would be of interest to larger clubs, and if he had not stated he wanted to stay to help us in the Champions League he might have had one or two offers from one or two clubs.

Ozil going?

Pretty certain he is staying.

What makes you think that? Neither him nor Sanchez are certainties, although clubs are queuing for Sanchez

No bids were made and I'm in no doubt if bids were made he'd have gone

Are you sure about that ? If you said Kanté or Vardy, maybe... but Riyad ? The title was a collective achievement, Mahrez was part of it, excepting his stats, i don't see what he've done more than Drinky or Smeichel. And i'm not kidding at all.

The type of football that Arsenal are known to operate on, 'free-flowing', may be beneficial for Mahrez's qualities.

But, they're a club under big pressure to be in the top-4 and Mahrez knows any initial poor showings could potentially hamper his career there already (if he does go).

You'll all miss him when he's gone. Even if you say you wont, you will.

The day we see that grin, holding aloft an Arsenal shirt, will be painful.

And if you say you will?

because when/if he moves to a better side, they will have better players. This means the opposition cannot just double up on him and take him out the game.

Are Arsenal really that much better than us???

he has gone on record talking up their pre season trip to Australia. He didn't  have to comment in such detail. And there is just no speculation at all. So much so his odds on staying are 1/8 !

the gooners in my office tell me he is staying.

But why were there no bids? Was it because he stated he wanted to stay? Or was it because everyone thought he was dogshit?

Please read this news article? You seem to have forgotten. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/05/05/leicester-city-boost-as-riyad-mahrez-tells-owner-he-wants-to-sta/

5 minutes ago you didn't believe that to be true so just goes to show you don't always believe what you read

Just as an aside there's still money to be made on skybet....

Thought about it and left it... always a chance things can fall through (disagreement on fees/add ons, injury during preseason etc), or some other big club/chelsea missing out on targets and deciding to go in for their second choice. Evens (or thereabouts) not good enough odds imo, even though I do trust the ITK info coming out.
