They couldn't afford for us to rebuff their offer unless we ar pe going to insist on 45m in which case they will argue he is overpriced and they tried at a acceptable valuation. They spent £35m on Xhaka and Mustafi who are awful, £45m for Mahrez is fair.

Let see what happens That's a bit specific Put up or shut up Arsenal. If I was Mahrez I'd be concerned that Arsenal value me at that figure

I will miss the moments of magic, but they have been few and far between this year and the end product has been missing. Agree with you there

Hes up there with the greatest ever Leicester players so wishing him anything other than the best comes across as very bitter. It's not though. Arsenal will probably qualify next year and he'll be an established player and probably gauranteed first team football. So that's the potential we're selling, not based on last season but based on the season after next. That's probably why the owners have slapped a 50 million price tag on him

FoxinNotts Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 If he was to go to Barca, Juve, Monaco even Chelsea, I'd be happy for him to thrive! but if he goes Arsenal, I really want him to fail! Why?

Come on you fuching Barcaaaaaaaaaaa ....
Foxxed Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 What if... what if... what if we sort out our midfield problems, play fast attacking football with a defensive midfield that can intercept and release him? But... it seems gone now... Do we, know you, have any replacements lined up?

Mahrez is algerian, african, called overrated by every footballs fans in the internet, even Leicester City fans who have spread rumors about him, being lazy, doesn't track back and the likes. How on earth can you expect the same amount as Mustafi and Xhaka ? The lad has all the atributes to be devalued. Only Arsenal showed a little interest but didn't even want to pay more than 30m...
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 On an aside .... still think the summer transfer window is a joke.... why does it drag on three weeks after the season starts ? In a Mahrez and for that matter Sanchez situation how can either club make a logical decision when they are not sure if their star player is staying or going ?
RoyFox Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 We better hold out for £40m, might take a while with Wenger bidding!

foxfanazer Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 Let Arsenal miss out on all of their top targets first and then offer them Mahrez on deadline day for £50m. Panic buy!
pazzerfox Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 I've sold the equation of Mahrez's valuation. Arsenal paid £42.2 million for Ozil. Mahrez is clearly better than Ozil. Mahrez costs £55.7 million Easy!

Foxxed Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 Is he three Schlupps or four Schlupps, that's what you have to ask yourself. Or even five.

Exactly this. Sick of reading comments like 'they only signed him for £400k so they should be happy' and 'they should let him go as he gave them an extra year' Bollocks should we! We should have a figure in mind and only let him go if that's met, like every other club does. He's our commodity whether he likes it or not. If Arsenal think he's so special they'll pay it

ALC Fox Posted 27 June 2017 Posted 27 June 2017 If this is really it, then he'll go having provided some of the fondest memories of 15/16. Last season he was a huge disappointment but I forgive him for that. 15/16 was worth it and last year we were alright in the end. I'm not keen on it being Arsenal but he'll forever be a Leicester City legend, at least to me anyway.
