You have more in common with these Afghani/Pakistani fanatics than you might think. No tolerance, no knowledge of the outside world, maybe the same passport...

He needs to go he only passes to Mahrez. When we played Bournemouth he was shouting at Chilwell because he put in a good cross in but he was offside. Get your ass onside then Slimani it's not Chilwell's fault you're offside for me he needs to go

I thought I saw him head it down for Vardy to score yesterday

I think you'll find that was a sh*t attempt on goal!

Even if it wasn't intended as a pass, by the rules of football it counts as an assist. Without Slimani we'd have lost 0-1.

Unless you think Shinji could've done that

Good ol Shinj would of toe bunged the ball into the crowd and probably ended up on his arse at some point so probably not.

Or whacked it in the net for yet another contender for goal of the season.

Some stats for the Premier League season according to SofaScore;

Scoring frequency (mins per goal)

Slimani 183

Vardy 216

Musa 377

Ulloa 435

Mahrez 473

Okazaki 524

Big chances missed

Slimani 7

Vardy 6

Mahrez 5

Ulloa 2

Morgan 2

Okazaki 2

So Slimani scored at a faster rate than anyone else at the club, and if he'd have buried a few more of his chances he'd have been way out in front.

Now, do I think Slimani had a good season? No. Do I think he's worth £30m? No. But he's way better than Ulloa and Okazaki. Definitely worth seeing what he can do next season.

Personally, I am a huge fan of Slimani. Sure, his contribution this season hasn't been great, certainly not up to the standard of a £30m+ striker. However, there is reason to believe that he could still play a huge role in the team. Firstly, his seven goals I believe is relatively respectable given he missed mos of the season due to injury/involvement at AFCON. Also, for most of the time, he has been playing in a team devoid of confidence.

His best attribute is of course his strength in the air, we have seen that with the types of goals that he has scored. His movement though is genuinely phenomenal. Some of the runs he makes between defenders is brilliant but it doesn't get noticed as the ball isn't passed to him. I know he got a bit of a telling off from Albrighton etc. for not closing down defenders and working hard but let's be honest, it was an end-of-season nothing game so I think a few players could be guilty of that. I don't think he is lazy by any means.

His goal record before coming here was absolutely fantastic. I know it can be argued that it was in a poor league however that goal-scoring instinct never deserts a striker. I mean just look at the types of goals he scored for Sporting. By no means were all of them easy chances or awful defending say for example the videos of Ahmed Musa and Kramaric we saw before they joined.

I think he offers more than Okazaki who seems to constantly be on the floor and Ulloa. His goal threat is so much greater. Its only his first season, cut him some slack. It isn't his fault that we paid an extortionate amount for him. A full pre-season with time to intergrate, we could see the real Slimani next season.

Seriously are you talking about Islam Slimani or other player? Judging by your comment I can't tell. How is he slow? I think he is rather quick as he showed against Everton, and he isn't dogshit with his feet, he isn't good but he isn't bad either.

you've got to be joking aside from ulloa he is before our slowest forward player and by quite some way, his acceleration is very slow. and did you watch this season his first touch and passing is really embarrassing for a 30m player, he can score goals crossing into the box but his all round game does not suit Leicester

Largely agree, but Vardy has gone through tough patches at this club and come through the other side, no reason Slimani couldn't either. Would sell on if we got a reasonable offer but by no means a lost cause

True but I really think Vardy is a special character. Don't see the same hunger and determination from Slim unfortunately

I'm a fan aswell. Not just saying that cos he took a photo with me over the weekend!

He's carrying the weight of his price tag around him but he's also being lumped in with the other new summer disappointments like Musa and Mendy to a lesser extent. Would think Ulloa has been a good signing overall for us but not as much potential as Slimani has to be. The other summer signings is affecting peoples view on Slim a lot. Slimani, Mendy, Musa look destined to be the latterday Akinbiyi, Lewis and Benjamin I fear.

He makes good passes, they just don't look pretty. He doesn't have much technique, but who cares as long as he's able to successfully pass.

I agree that he's not pacey, but for a target man, pace is not that important. He isn't a mule either, but he's by no means at the level of Vardy.

I think if we play a 4-1-2-1-2 (wide) next season, Slimani could play a major role to convert more from set pieces and crosses.

So next season it could look like this:

               Slimani - Vardy

                     Okazaki

Gray                                  Albrighton

                       N'didi

Fuchs - New CB - New CB - Possible new RB

whats his price got to do with anything? you obviously havent played football.

Only 40 years!!

So you don't think price has to do anything with it, it's abundantly clear you know nothing about football.

lol

If you have played football for over 40 years you would know that wasnt an easy chance.

Why should a price you pay for a player have anything to do with it? Its' not the player that is setting the price is it! NOT ONE of the players in the world are worth the price they are sold for its just business. A price tag doesnt increase your ability and you playing football for 40 years, should really know this.

Are you serious? Ndidi on his own in the middle would get completely overrun and destroyed. We'd get hammered every match!

He's not alone, he has Gray, Albrighton and Okazaki to help out. The only difference is that Ndidi always stays back with the defence.
