If Hernandez does have a £13m release clause and we aren't in there for him we are absolutely bonkers. In today's market that is the definition of a steal.

£25m+ for Iheanacho or £13m for Hernandez? It's a no brainer.

Sign them both. Imagine having Vardy, kelechi, Hernandez and Slimani to choose from. Difficult job to keep them all happy though.

But we've not seen an unsubstantiated article in so long!

A random comment on Twitter from some obscure, self styled, ITK would certainly give this signing some much needed momentum.

I have a twitter account and have never posted any pretend ITK stuff. Shall I post one? Will it help?

The way things are around here atm you wouldn't have to try very hard and you could break the whole forum tbf

That idea might get certain websites some ideas for a new article for them to get some click-bait, and convince betting football fans to pay for an odd that a certain player will sign..leading to betting companies, as a result, to reduce the odds very low...and that leading to people believing something is imminent but nothing is.

So, personally advise you to don't do it! lol

on the contrary, if you trick other people into putting money into something that you know won't happen, that improves the odds of the opposite outcome should you want to bet on it

On what basis to you relay this positive information?

which bit? by 'is happening' I meant that we're still in talks but it's gonna take time before any deal is complete.

Just noticed that Man City are not back for pre season training yet, so I guess that wherever he moves to won't get sorted until he returns from his time away.

ITS HAPPENING (iheanacho's agent thought it would be a good idea to use leicester to force a better offer elsewhere but we bid 40M and 100k per week so now iheanacho is panicking he might have to sign up)

http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/07/03/man-city-boss-guardiola-to-host-eagles-boss-rohr-for-talks-on-iheanacho-future/

Coach of Manchester City Pep Guardiola will host the senior national team coach of Nigeria Gernot Rohr later in the week to discuss the future of Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City.

Linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium Iheanacho is one of the players the Franco-German coach of the Super Eagles is counting on ahead of Nigeria’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Cameroon.

Rohr will like to know the prospect of playing time for the 20 year old if he remains at M‎an City at the end of the current transfer window, or if a move to one of the teams pushing for his signature will be beneficial for his career.

Already Leicester City are reportedly the book makers favourite to land the forward but West Ham are yet to give up on their chances, and report has it that they have agreed City’s option of a buy back clause in the deal for Iheanacho.

However as exclusively explained by this portal, Guardiola will sanction the exit of Iheanacho only If he identifies a replacement in the striking department of the team with Nolito impending department leaving them short of options upfront.

Basically we won't hear anything for a couple days at least.

When people say "it's happening", others - understandably - assume the mean that the move to City is happening.

If you're going to say "it's happening" but only mean that what is happening is talks then we're going to have some really very disappointed fans. Would "talks ongoing" not be more appropriate? You could then save "it's happening" for when the deal is almost done.

Just a thought.

if you read through my other posts I've also said any deal will take a long time because there's loads of other clubs interested. So maybe don't handpick posts to criticise.

It wasn't a huge criticism stan. But we both know people pop on and off the forums. I'd have read it and assumed you were saying the transfer is on despite earlier warnings about this being a low winded transfer. just thought it might better to make sure even newcomers to the thread know what you're saying - might save you from getting it in the neck if it's read wrongly too!
