Chester_Blue Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 hi all i'm a chester fan i'm made up for sam he's come from our youth system to first team in a matter of 2 years he'll probably go in to your under 23s but if and when asked he'll be ready for the first team he can play central defence and a midfielde
dormelcfc Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 One of the types of signings I'd be scouring for on football manager then develop them into the best defender in the world. ? Seriously though, this guy comes with some pedigree and at only 20, it's exactly what we have been asking for - a young centre-back. Will more than likely go into our U23s for a couple of years. I don't see anything negative in this signing. If he turns out to be good, we have got an absolute bargain but if not, we have hardly lost anything.
Webbo Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Let him have pre season with us then send him out on loan for a year.

EGBFitness Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Glad to see the club are still searching the lower leagues to sign young players.

MPH Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 i always get concerned we sign promising youngsters too early in their career.... we improve them, they get bored of waiting and then leave after a couple of years to go on and have a stellar career at their new club...
UPinCarolina Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 These are the kind of signings that sustain clubs. I hope we invest heavily in developing all of these young assets that we have been stockpiling the past two years.
Winsum Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Shakespeare and Sam Hughes in the same afternoon , a club aiming high
Chico1958 Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Best of luck to Shakespeares first signing.......... I believe both will need it somehow
Wakeyfox Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Guy looks to be packin in the picture. Good signing imo

Superpants82 Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 He looks a good lad, only from the videos I have seen over the last few days with his interviews, he came across as switched on and confident. He captained his team at 19. Good luck to the lad at Leicester

Chesterluke Posted 8 June 2017 Posted 8 June 2017 Chester fan here. He's 6ft 2 possibly 6ft 3 and unreal in the air. Rarely loses a header in both boxes. You have a potential gem on your hands. Appreciate there are chasms between our level and yours but he's got something special. He's not a typical non league clogger either, there's genuine class in there. With some further improvements from a higher standard of coaching he could be a Premier League defender within months not years.

Do you remember Sven in charge making ridiculous last minute multi million bids for Beckford? Big Names and big money have never meant success at Leicester.

What's he like on the ball? What kind of a centre-half is he?
Ric Flair Posted 9 June 2017 Posted 9 June 2017 These are the signings I like. Also if Barnsley were in for him then he's instantly going to be worth millions within the next couple of years. They know a defender.
