im quite proud of Alen Jakupovic for making homemade pesto with basil from his garden.

We were seriously lacking strength in depth. Maguire and Jakupovic go a long way in addressing that. I'm genuinely really happy with what I'm seeing at the minute.

Not sure about signing two players to strengthen our defence from the team that had the worst goals against in the league.

The only question you need to ask about Jakupovic is 'is he better than Zieler?'. If the answer is yes then that's all that matters really.

I thought that initially... They let in 80 in the league and 11 in the Cups... 91 Conceded IN 46 Games.

That said, Jakupovic played 27 and conceded 44... Not sure how that compares with RRZ, but it's not too shabby when you consider that, in the 19 games that Jakupovic didn't figure, Hull let in 47...two and a half goals a game so to speak!...which suggests he was, by a way, their best 'keeper last term !

Pickford went for £30m and conceeded a bucket load of goals

I'd prefer to see him between the posts than Zieler as a shot stopper, but I'm not sure what he's like distributing the ball.....

Good move I think. Zieler is evidently not happy being a benchwarmer, but no way is he good enough to be starting week in week out and that's with taking Kasper out of the equation. I think from what I've seen Jakupovic is better than Zieler and he'll also be more content on the bench.

Leicester City are in advanced talks with Hull City goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic about a deal believed to be for a fee of about £2m, reports BBC Radio Leicester.

The 32-year-old would join as an understudy to Kasper Schmeichel, with Ron-Robert Zieler's future unclear.

Jakupovic, who has played international football for both Switzerland and Bosnia, has a year left on his deal.

He played 22 Premier League games last season as Hull were relegated.

True but you have to look at them individually because they didn't get much help from the players further forward.

A good back up keeper and a good replacement for Zieler and hopefully he will be motivated to challenge kasper for the Number one jersey although Kasper will be the undoubted number one.

I'm surprised a 32-year-old keeper would be coming in as an understudy? he will want to be playing I would have thought, suppose he feels he might be able to take Kaspers places which I'm all for giving we don't have a good 2nd choice goalie.

Be happy if he comes in as our number two keeper.

Last season he started off as the second choice and forced himself into contention to become Hull's first choice keeper.

The fact that he did that, and then stayed relatively steady enough to establish himself as first choice says a lot about his character.

I've said it before - having players who are comfortable starting on the bunch, but hungry and talented enough to be part of something when called upon is vital. You need to have players that will sit on the bench, work hard to break into the starting line-up, but not throw their toys out of the pram for not always being first choice.

He fits that.

I think he went to Hull as a backup, maybe he rates himself and thinks Kasper will move on at somepoint in the future, be that near or further away. I think it's an upgrade on RRZ who gives me very little confidence.
