Played 80 odd games for Benfica in 6 years, mainly as a Right Back, but also on the right side of midfield and occasionally as a Centre Back (he's 6'+). Has always been the back up for them. A Portugese International as well.

Do we want to sign a Benfica reserve player. If he's not good enough for their first team he's certainly not good enough for ours.

But when you're sitting behind Semedo its put slightly more into perspective.

 

Like saying Felipe Luis couldn't get a game for Chelsea and that he's not good enough - although he's arguably one of the best Lbs in the world and was at the time being there. Just couldn't get infant of Azpi.

I'm not surprised Chelsea got rid of him if Luis was trying to get Azpilacueta's kid.
