fazzyfox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 If Silva is considered to be a similar level to Drinky would Chelsea be looking at him tonight as an option or is it just the "sum of the parts" logic that Drinky with Kante is an established partnership?

Two of you don't even count Mendy last year due to his injuries. NO YOU DONT GET IT WE HAVE TO SIGN MIDFIELDERS WHATS STEPHEN HUGHES DOING THESE DAYS HE'S BETTER THAN THE SHITE WE'VE CURRENTLY GOT JESUS CHRIST WE'RE GOING DOWN **** RUDKIN

You keep all them you have three, maybe even four not making the bench each week, not sustainable. Lose DD sign Silva and you'd still have Iborra and James on the bench at least. That's pretty decent when you look around the league. Certainly better than King, Amartey which we had last year.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 People are to impatient, we want good money for Drinky and that is what we will get and silva will sign

Adster Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Doubt he'd fly all the way over here for us to sign him "just in case". Like others have said. It's probably sky trying to spice it up more than it needs to be to attract attention.

I would say that we've negotiated this deal with the idea that Drinkwater will go in mind though. Don't speak with such logic man! It's deadline day, sign everyone!!
ajthefox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 5 minutes ago, Kitchandro said: We don't need to keep shitbags happy. There are central midfielders here that aren't good enough. Why have we not transfer listed them to make room for better ones? Mendy has gone. Amartey is a utility player. Kingy is well, Kingy and isn't going anywhere, ever, even if he isn't good enough for where we want to be aiming. James is still to be judged imo and likewise we have only just signed Iborra so I would hope you aren't already suggesting he's not good enough.

lgfualol Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Sell Drinkwater already. Silva, Ndidi, Iborra, James are a good set of CMs. Amartey will be used in defence and King will barely play, but that's ok.

We are sorted in midfield, dragovic coming in will boost the defensive options... great window if these happen especially if Mahrez stays then almost perfect really

No, basically I accept we have lots of midfielders, from a purely greedy point of view I'd like to keep Drinky and sign Silva, regardless of who's upset, doesn't play etc. Numbers wise with Mendy going we are as you were if Silva signed. I guess that's the point I was trying to make, oh I don't know I'm tired!
AKCJ Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 13 minutes ago, Kitchandro said: That's because our midfield isn't good enough. We should be looking to bring players in regardless of who leaves. If we rate this bloke, and we obviously do since we've been linked to him no end, we should just sign him. It should make no difference what Drinkwater does. It's not about him, that's the point you're missing. We currently have Drinkwater, Iborra, Ndidi and James. 4 players the club clearly feel (and the players have clearly proven) to be good enough at this level. Do you think we should just buy all of the midfielders in the world? 4 top midfielders is fine, stop pissing your pants and stomping your feet like a spoilt toddler.
