jonny_wright Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Leicester City turn down offer to sign £10m Ramirez Leicester City have turned down an offer to sign Middlesbrough's Gaston Ramirez - for now. City had a bid, believed to have been more than £10million, rejected for the Uruguay forward in the January window. Ramirez even handed in a transfer request to try to force through a move, but Boro stood firm. The Northern Echo reports that Ramirez no longer has a future at the Riverside Stadium and will not be considered for first-team duties as they try to find a buyer for the 26-year-old. Boro are disillusioned with Ramirez's behaviour in the second half of last season and it is understood they have offered him to several clubs, including City. However, City have not taken the option yet as they are believed to looking at other targets, most notably Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson. http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/leicester-city-turn-down-offer-to-sign-10m-ramirez/story-30416203-detail/story.html
jonny_wright Posted 29 June 2017 Author Posted 29 June 2017 Cant help but think we will just sign him in desperation after we miss out on Sigurdsson
lgfualol Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 I wanted him in January as I thought our whole team was shit. But I'll pass now, we should aim higher.
Foxes1 Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 So now they are relegated they want rid, with his attitude in the second half of the season, sounds like another Mahrez scenario but Mahrez wasn't bothered for the whole of the season.
Out Foxed Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 yeah they blew it. would rather look elsewhere. Heard some moderately interesting extra curricular stories from some boro fans that would make me swerve too.
Jaspa Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Known quantity and inconsistent at this level, possibly a bad attitude and made an absolute tit of himself diving against Bournemouth. No
fuchsntf Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 No...lets be fair. Come on we are Leicester city, we take on all comers, and the fallen. All lost hopes, are welcome...!!!. Its in our DNA , if others aint interested, Rudders will dive in.... We are the club who dares to go , where others fear to tread..therefore hes a shoe in...A must....

Sharpe's Fox Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Can't believe we were after him in the first place. I think his thread got to like 70 pages in January I swear people on here are dumb as f uck.
Wymsey Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Shouldn't want individuals at the club that aren't totally committed to the their present one.
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Another player who, when he first came to England (was it to Southampton?), I thought looked bloody good. Skilful, playmaker, with an eye for goal. Then he seemed to go all crap?....... All id say is he certainly CAN be a good player and City are generally pretty good at taking other club's cast-offs and making them good. I wouldn't just rule him out, especially because he seems keen to join us.

RoyFox Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 After watching him destroy Boro's hopes of safety, I was glad we dodged the bullet. Good player on his day, but not one to have in the trenches when the going gets tough. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39605150
filbertstreet Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 shite in beauty and the beast, shite for middlesbrough, no thanks
Stevosevic Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 That window was poor - hope we're looking at better

Old Fox Posted 29 June 2017 Posted 29 June 2017 Said at the time that he was known to have an attitude issue and generally got himself sent off on a couple of occasions. We should never have looked at him in the first place imo and hopefully we will be setting the bar a lot higher this Summer!!!
