He played a grand total of 2 minutes In those 3 cup finals. Heis minutes played per season are pretty low... but he's idolised by their fans for being a great club man.

We might be buying their Andy King. I don't know the fella, he might be brilliant, but there are enough things for people to be quite reasonably worried about.

Look at is goalscoring record put it like this he scores more than our midfield 1 thing we are lacking goals from midfield

Most of his goals were tap ins, we aren't really the sort of team that plays it around and through teams to create a load of easy finishes like Sevilla.

Yes but a tap in or not he seems to have a goal instinct

I'll reserve judgement on that as I saw some shockers he missed on YouTube!

Thoroughly depressing.

I know. The usual suspects are trying to argue he's magnificent, but on the same night that yet another rumor comes through about Mahrez leaving, we are being linked with Iborra. I'm not saying he's a bad player but I'd so love us to be able to sign a really special one. If we start again next season with Drinkwater or Ndidi out injured such that Amartey is lumbering around in central midfield, I think I'm gonna have to cry.

You're looking right. We didn't even have it last summer as champions of England.

£12m transfer fee

£60,000 a week for four years

29 years old

That's £25m outlay for a player who probably won't be good enough to be an automatic choice and will more than likely be a bits and pieces player.

He nearly went Sunderland last year which speaks volumes. He'll be okay I suppose but spending good money on okay players isn't going to get us any higher up the table. He won't out Drinkwater or Ndidi and will rival James for first reserve midfielder, we'll signing the Spanish Andy King.

12m is an okay price for a good versatile bench player, technically we're just trading off schluppy who can cover LM/LB, for someone who can cover just about every position :)

We may not even plan to use him as a CM.

Are people seriously comparing sevillas captain to Andy king on here? Jesus fvcking christ

He's club captain, he rarely plays to be the actual team captain.

He's  averaged  42 appearances a season in his time at Sevilla?

Posted

He averaged a goal or assist every 189 minutes for Sevilla last season.

Andy King averaged a goal every 897 minutes last season, no assists.

I'd be happy with the Spanish Andy King, that is actually nothing like Andy King.

So why are his minutes played so low? He comes on as sub a lot essentially.

We would all like a player of Gylfi's caliber but we ain't going to get him unfortunately.

If's it's a choice of this lad or Clucas there is only one winner.

Hopefully Rudkin has heard of the likes of Boudebouz, Josip Illic.
