Happy Fox Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 Ed MalyonVerified account @eaamalyon 2m2 minutes ago More he's a big lump with some technical ability who is a def mid but has played as an auxiliary second striker. That's why I compare to Fellaini

They're not happy at all, which bodes well. I particularly like this one: "Keep selling major players all age, who is missing the whores cocaine with the commissions of the signings eh! vamooooos!" They love the bloke... but I'm not sure yet whether it's Andy King "he's a great club man and servant" love, or "he's amazing" love.
Nick Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 So thoughts please, have we bought him as a CM who will fight with Ndidi & Drinks or as something else? A number 10? A DM? A Utility player? Somebody to play in with bank of two banks of 3?

The Master Rudkin pulling strings behind the scenes what a worker The discussions with Sevilla might have stretched back weeks. Particularly as Sevilla signed Banega yesterday. I think people underestimate how complex transfers really are.

Yes but it proves that deals can be done without the entire thing playing out in the tabloid press and through Sky Bet odds and ITK tittle tattle.
indierich06 Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 Hmmm not that excited about this one to be honest. Not very inspiring. Surely we need more creative midfielders, not more battering rams?

MikeyT Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 #sevilla announce agreement with #lcfc for the sale of Vicente Iborra. No word from Leic yet - looks like personal terms still to sort. sky sports
brucey Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 is Ulloa the only Spanish speaker in the squad? at least he'll be useful for something

To be honest I think that rather going for him preemptively, we probably heard he was available at the price and thought "we would be mad not to get him." Last year when Drinky went through a bad patch we looked awful, so think Iborra can do a job there when needed. With his physical presence, I think we will see him further up the field though as an alternative to Okazaki. Let's face it, we love smashing the ball up field and he will win the ball more often than not when that happens. I wonder if he speaks English, because that could be a problem with our group of players. I think he may be ideal for our current style of play though, quite an exciting one this. He comes across as a real Warrior that will get stuck in and play scrappy. Shakespeare loves us to play aggressively and on the front foot, and think this type of player is ideal for that play style, that's why the Sevilla faithful love him.

Nick Posted 4 July 2017 Posted 4 July 2017 I think we'll play him in CM and I think he'll start. He'll have licence to play anywhere in the middle of the park getting forward as he sees fit. I think Ndidi and Drinks will be fighting to play along side him. I reckon he'll be considered better than what we have and an improvement on the first team not just the squad.
