I can assure you Leo needed the time off due to something close to home.

I thought his personal issues happened at the end of the season? April-June ish

I'm talking about January when he was doing the live interviews with SSN

5/2 on drinkwater to stay is tempting shame you cant do them as multiples mahrez, gray & Drinkwater to stay would be about 8/1!

I think you can ask for it as a RequestABet, although it's probably unlikely they'll put it on, or even offer anywhere near that price. I've done all 3 as singles.

I'm told Chelsea will not match asking price of £40m and have now told us they will look elsewhere.

Could be a bluff to force our hand  but this deal could be off.

Oh Danny... have you just made yourself look a bit of a plonker?!

Would they offer odds on Rudkin signing someone that is universally applauded by FT?

7/2 Paddy Power, too big.

Even if they did, you'd just be throwing money away - even Maguire had a fair few detractors. Any signing or non-signing on here is odds-on to be accompanied by a 'hilarious Rudders meme'.

5,000 -1

Some mad odds with Paddy Power at the moment to be fair.

Jonny Evans to stay at West Brom is 13/5. Considering they want £35m that seems like a good offer. I don't think Man City want him that much and will likely be pre-occupied with Sanchez.

Mahrez is 5/4 and there hasn't been an offer for him for weeks despite us announcing the asking price.

The odds on Mahrez to stay with us were ridiculously long when the Roma speculation was at its height. Needless to say I'll be wealthier man on Friday morning if he doesn't leave...

What price did you get? I've never touched them because I was sure that £50m was too cheap in the current market. 5/4 is still a good price but I wouldn't lump on it.

He's been played in my opinion - Chelsea only wanted him because they thought he was cheap.

It certainly looks that way.

Chelsea's bid has been a hostile one but they want to pay a price in line if we were actively trying to sell. Drinkwater comes out of this looking stupid as he's kicked off about this but Chelsea aren't willing to pay good money for him because they don't want him badly enough.

11/2 on betfair, then some more at 5/1.

12/1 to stay was what I got when Riyad put out his statement. I think that's the longest it has been.

Not sure about Evans seems a good price but Man City is kinda known for overspending on defenders.

Why the feck is Ox worth more than DD? Ox got 1 year left on his contract and DD has actually produced more in the last 2 years than Ox has.

How does Ox go for  £35m and we are struggling to even get to that with DD?

I know he's scored 9 goals in nearly 200 apps, and he plays at that end of the pitch!

Adrien Silva, Carvalho, Delph, Krychowiak, N'Zonzi...

There are replacements out there IF they want to come and we stump up the cash.

Losing Mahrez is more of a concern for me as I think we would have to sign 2 players to replace his creativity. ACM and a Winger.

Not Delph - ffs that's ludicrous.

Not a fan?

I think he has a lot to prove still and at 27 is a great age for a CM

Won't get a look in at Man City.

Edit: apparently turned down a move to Stoke so he can fight for a place at City.

First time I've read comments on here about "this request" after hearing it on the way into work this morning.

My initial reaction was one of distaste tbh.  As bad as Mahrez was for laying his cards down on the table at the earliest opportunity, sticking these cards down with 24 hours to go is a disgrace imo.

Some of these players ought to look at themselves and thank the club for how far they've taken them and treat the place with a little more decorum.  He signed a four year contract the other year, flaming well honour it.

Too much power to the players and nutty agents who offer poor advice.  Bout time football clubs put them in their place.

This doesn't work out, which looks likely, how does your face fit around the place once the dust has settled?

Poor, poor showing from the player imo.
