Didn't Pearson describe him as "a complex character"? Remember him playing for Barnsley against us,having a good game and we signed him........should remember where he came from imho!

I think him remembering where he came from is part of the problem. He came from Man Utd and obviously wants to get back to that level (and yes i know he never actually played for the 1st team)

I can understand someone moving to a big club to play in Europe, win trophies and a bigger pay packet but the bottom line is he signed a contract that was very favourable to him a year a go and set him up for life.

The club aren't standing in his way and accepted he can go for a certain price. If Chelsea don't want to pay it then maybe he won't be as valued there as he thinks. We have every right to ask for a decent fee and not be rolled over and have our tummies tickled whilst Chelsea dictate the price.

This 100% any player can leave if the valuation is met. Putting a transfer request in doesn't make any difference apart from the fans get pissed off. We need to stand strong on every player.

I thought it would be ok seeing as I'm also in the picture.

Like most I would happily take £40m for him.

The transfer request sours things and lacks class on his part. Will look rather stupid if the move doesn't come off.

Why should we sell cheaply? Fed up of other so-called big clubs expecting bargain basement prices...

Ox to Liverpool. Barkley injured. Chelsea will surely go all out for Drinkwater. Be patient Rudders.

And if if this doesn't happen due to Chelsea not paying up, willDD be upset with us for not letting him go cheap, or offended by their low estimation of his value, I wonder?!

I don't care . £23 mil for drinks in this climate is ridiculous- especially for us in terms of replacing him - 38 if we had a realistic replacement perhaps otherwise FO.

Nah he wont give a shit if he goes for 5m or 35m, as long as he gets his move thats the main thing for him.

Any players that doesn't want to Bea here can fook off imo.

We have three that have handed in transfer requests, I'd let them all go tomorrow.

What did I miss whose the 3rd?

What do you propose, sell to the highest bidder regardless of price?

Chelsea HAVE to buy a couple home grown players. It's inconceivable that they won't bid enough to get drinky but it's more than conceivable we will tell them to bog off cos they left it too late.

Disgraceful of him to handle a transfer request a day before the window closes. Take the 40 mil if they'll offer and good riddance Danny, have fun watching your mate Kante from the bench...If he's good enough for Chelsea bench that is, which is doubtful based on his last season form.

With Mendy's set to be loaned and Vince still not ready looks like we're sentenced to watch the disappearing genius of Andy King and pray James can improve his game at least for the next few match days. Was there ever a creative midfielder in sight this summer I wonder. Fuchsing transfer windows

:revenge:

Leo and why we gave him a new contract I'll never know.

Mahrez and Danny... Sell them all, it's never going to be good for the team long term to have unsettled players who don't want to be here.

Yes, within reason.

if they don't want to be here, they are of no value to the team.

I agree they're more desperate to do business than us but do you believe they'll bid anywhere near £40m?

After bidding £15m then £23m I can't possibly see this getting done. It will be sheer desperation on an unprecedented scale.

I think you are probably right, being called up for England a couple of times though doesn't make a move to one of the big boys nailed on.Anyone else remember the cupping of the ears against Peterborough i think it was...there's a bit of an ego there as well!

Well we have a £23m offer for Drinkwater and £32m for Mahrez, you'd sell at those prices?

If we get rid whatever the cost it sets a precedent for anyone who wants a move will get it providing they kick off in the meantime.

Ah, yes. Not sure he handed in a transfer request though (?).

Think he just refused to play :D

Chelsea are taking the p*ss with their opening offers on DD, Barkley and Llorente.

Roman must be a bit short this month.

Not on Barkley - Everton are going to struggle big time to get more than 25m on someone who can only play late Nov onwards and is a free in June.

Its a bit odd, isn't it??

They missed out on Lukaku and Oxlade-Chamberlain, and have bid low on Barkley, Drinky and Lllorente...with a day to go!!

I'd be staggered if someone bought Barkley.

Won't sell DD unless LCFC have secured suitable replacement. SKY S quote on our club tonight.

So either we have this player bags packed, hotel booked and medical arranged, or DD stays.
