bpfox Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 i was just wondering why we have not sold anyone this window, this is who i think we could sell to make it easier to purchase better players, not sure of the value we would get so what i put on each player is just a guess. mendy 10 million musa 15 million ulloa 10 million shinji 10 million wes 5 million total 50 million we then could go after sigurdsson and gibson even if it cost us 80 million we would only have spent 30 million, what do people think. WHY ARE WE HOLDING ON TO FLOP'S.

However, now we've played a number of games I do feel the first 3 should be moved on.

Mendy is unsaleable at present I imagine. Doubt whether we'd get 10m for either Ulloa or Shinji. Only sell Wes if he wants to go.

Shinji i dont think we want to sell and Wes would reject a move cos he aint gona get the pay packet he is on anywhere else.
wasthedestroyer Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 All apart from wes & shinji are absolute flops. Mendy & Musa will never be first team standard again, neither will Ulloa. We wont re-coup anthing close to what we paid for them as we overpaid as a panic buy.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 I'm not sure people have realized, even now, that we've filled our squad full of mediocrity or 'maturity'. Mendy has become a sick note. God knows what we are going to do with him. Musa might have had a decent pre-season friendly game, against Burton...but one swallow a summer doesn't make. Slimani has also become a sick note. His time actually on the pitch compared to the outlay for him must be ridiculous. We have Amartey who despite the nonsense on here, doesn't seem to be attracting a plethora of suitors, then there's King who will end his career here, Leo and his new contract, big Wes, Huth, Simmo and Fuchs all of whom are in the twilight of their careers. Clubs don't want these players. I think we either take significant losses on them, or somehow look to getting the best out of them that we possibly can. Surprisingly maybe, the main one for me is Musa. I think he's better than he's shown so far and we can get him playing.

He is the best player to have in our locker when we need to start pressing higher up the pitch.
Nalis Posted 2 August 2017 Posted 2 August 2017 There is zero value is letting Wes go. We value him far more than others (such as Newcastle was he was linked by some bored blogger). He's also worth keeping in the dressing room if he does lose his place in the first team.
