He's had his injury problems but is a tough CB very good in the air and a born leader. He may even be left footed which is a bonus could be wrong. Anyway would love him here and would be good long term replacement for Morgan and Huth. Taking about former Stoke CBs with a history of injury problems, the last one wasn't bad was he?

volpeazzurro Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 Used to rate him a couple of years back. Against us last year he was extremely poor, I was really surprised. Very immobile and was grabbing at shirts at every opportunity. We have far better in Morgan and Huth.

You're right - he was terrible here this season.

With Huth, Morgan, Benny and Maguire at the back we have cover and could even put Amartey or Iborra there if desperate. But a decent player in my opinion.

I believe Morgan and Huth still have at least another year in them, Maguire hopefully the stand-out performer this season. Please don't bring in another short term 'help'. Always build!!!
