Tuna Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 In the transfer roundup on the mail website: Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross is wanted by Burnley, Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion. The 29-year-old has been with Stoke for ten years since joining from Manchester United and has one year left on contract. The club has yet to agree new terms with Shawcross and he is considering his options with one to leave as a free agent next summer. Burnley, who have already signed Jon Walters and Phil Bardsley from Stoke this summer, are willing to offer £10m for him while his former boss Tony Pulis would love to have him at West Bromwich Albion and Craig Shakespeare is keen to take him to Leicester. Rafa Benitez has also expressed interest at Newcastle United. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4779018/West-Ham-make-27m-bid-William-Carvalho.html
Fox 4 Life Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 In his prime, horrible bastard - it's a yes from me. Him and Maguire would be beastly
TheSomersetFox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 Another United academy graduate who's done pretty well for himself. Mate has a season ticket at Stoke though and reckons he's past his best already, would moan about him regularly last season. Didn't realise he was only 29.
Fox 4 Life Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 Just now, Goober said: Another United academy graduate who's done pretty well for himself. Same fans that moaned about Huth, look what happened there!
foxes21 Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 He's been poor for 1/2 seasons now, but I don't think he's been helped by Hughes wanting to play tiki taka and having defenders at the half way line. Another leader in the squad who'd fit our style of play, in need of a fresh start like Huth a couple years ago. It's a yes from me.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 Rather go back in for Mbodji or try and get someone like Mawson or Gibson.
st albans fox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 I really really really don't want him. We already have better here.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 If we can get him for under 10 million then I'd take him as an option
mozartfox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 No better and may be even worse than what we have. There must be better options than this.. If I was paid to scout, I am certain I could find someone better in the Austrian Bundesliga than him.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 Get him in just because if he leaves Stoke they are immediately going down and I'm bored of them.
GingerrrFox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 Nasty **** built for what we want from our cb's. It's a yes from me.
coolhandfox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 My stoke supporting BIL has said for the last couple seasons that he's not be the same player since his injuries. So no for me! Could be another Huth, but he said the opposite when we sign him, he couldn't believe they let him go!
Vacamion Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 I remember another Stoke centre back we signed who everyone said was on a downhill slope. Gerrimin.
ronnup Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 Definitely. Shakes won't be asking him to play football. He can defend for sure this lad.
sylofox Posted 10 August 2017 Posted 10 August 2017 no thanks he's going to want four years two of which we will carry him. That and he won't be as cheap as some think and a big wage.
