volpeazzurro Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Think we've got better with Maguire and Huth with Morgan in reserve. Signing someone permanently like Gibson I can understand, but this bloke is no real step up from Hernandez. Our defence is not the priority problem now, it's the midfield. Firstly we didn't have good enough players. But with Ndidi, James, Iborra and possibly Silva with Amarty and King as cover it's ok. ...so long as Shakespeare can play players in their best positions in a formation to best suit against a particular opposition on a particular day. It hardly matters who we sign if Shakespeare sets up as he did against Man United or even Arsenal for that matter. Because of having better players we should beat quite a few opposition teams this year but will fail against the bigger boys because of inept tactics. Controversial I know but it's only my opinion.

Dragovic has a point to prove - several, actually. Firstly, he'll want to overcome doubts over his own ability after a mediocre season at Bayer Leverkusen. Secondly, he'll be keen to get more minutes under his belt because there's still a chance that Austria could qualify for the 2018 World Cup. You want to be match-fit for every single international match to do so - following the match away at Wales on Saturday, there's still three more to come. Dragovic is a fighter and a loan deal is a low risk. We can only win.

Finn Claw II Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Give the guy a chance. We have 4 decent CB options. I'm happy with this one.
crisp packet Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 We've been linked on many occasions? This would be a Walsh signing .... Typical city signing , try try and try again. Loan an with a view. Hopefully fee agreed? Why not ?
RowlattsFox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 To be fair, if it stops us paying £20m+ for Calum Chambers I'm happy.
surrifox Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Is this actually a thing - I haven't seen it on sky reports

Livid Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 Open mind on him. I was quite sceptical about signing a centre half from a relegated side but he's currently off with the England squad and looks fantastic.

Babylon Posted 31 August 2017 Posted 31 August 2017 If he's shit it's nothing lost, we don't have to buy him at the end of it and we have another body just in case.
