Sagna

According to L'Equipe, Bacary Sagna (34), free since his departure from Manchester City, could bounce back to West Ham or Leicester . The right-hand man talks physically and would give his priority to a new experience in the Premier League after those at Arsenal and Manchester City. For this reason, he refused the approaches of Bursaspor , Besiktas and Sporting Portugal . The OM was also interested but had not contacted the French International unlike Brighton, spurned by the player and Chelsea, who eventually hired the Italian side Davcid Zappacosta.

If he does come, Amartey's future will be bleak (as if it isn't already, like Musa).

Amartey is quite confusing, as really not sure what his best position is.

Just 50-50 about this; Sagna's experienced, yes, but would rather have a younger talented one in like Maguire and let Simpson mentor him.

It's a nuisance in that West Brom have some defenders that would suit our style of play.

West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City keen on free agent Bacary Sagna

  • Free agent Bacary Sagna is a transfer target for West Brom and Leicester
  • The 34-year-old can sign any time after being released by Manchester City
  • Former Arsenal star Sagna played 17 Premier League games for City last season

West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City are interested in free agent right back Bacary Sagna.

The 34-year-old was released by Manchester City at the end of last season and had been considered by Brighton, Chelsea, West Ham and Everton during the summer.

Albion have also been giving a trial to former QPR midfielder Karl Henry, 34.

West Brom and Leicester both registered fewer than 25 players in their Premier League squads at the start of the month.

Therefore Sagna would be eligible to be registered before January were he to sign a contract with one of the sides this year.

Sagna started 14 Premier League games for Man City last season.

He also made three appearances as a sub.

24 appearances for Man city last season. Certainly can still do a decent job for us. We have the space in the squad and as someone said, if Simpson gets injured, we have no genuine RB to replace him.

If the price (wages) are right, then sign him up. 1 year deal only though as like others have said, I would like us to start bedding in a young talented RB similar to what we have been doing with Chilwell who will soon be taking over from Fuchs hopefully

I'd be happy to have another RB in the squad but I'm not sure he's the marauding overlapping player people seem to think we lack and criticise Simpson for not providing.

Hell bomb forward with one of these.

I'm massively surprised at some of the negativity on this one.... Free transfer and played at the highest level for many years. Granted he's cracking on a bit but he's not suddenly turned into a bad footballer. Given our options at right back, this is a no brainer

Totally agree
