Sometimes it's just so genuinely complex it's hard to stop and explain it.

For the scrum, David Flatman is probably one of the best pundits around. In fact, his analysis of the whole game is excellent really. But he's almost never a lead Co commentator on international coverage because he's not considered high profile enough.

So he's just called in to give a titbit here and there which doesn't really help very casual fans.

Appreciate that, especially for those who loosely understand the rules. Would've just liked the occasional couple of words to say what the official has blown for, just to give an idea. But understand its hard to stop and explain each time as the rules are a bit more complicated at times that football.

Usually there's a label somewhere on the screen saying what the offence is, which for non-scrum offences is fairly straightforward.

But I appreciate its easy for me to say that.

It's not the most accessible sport hence why it's not more popular tbf.

Football is just infinitely more easy to follow.

Definitely when in open play the offences are normally stated or simple things like not rolling away which are straight forward to explain. I did get a bit lost in terms of consistency from the officials in a few games but I guess that's expected in any sport.

Scrum is the only real time I struggle, especially when a foul's given and the commentators seem to have no clue why.

Overall its a sport I do enjoy watching, it's a different environment to football but still enjoyable to watch.

My two favourite comedians at the moment are James Acaster, and Bill Burr who is absolutely brilliant. So brutally honest and unflinching.

Seeing Acaster next Sunday and I can't bloody wait.

Actually quite curious as why you think it's better? Is there something specific about either that puts you off one?

It’s more interesting, more competitive, better fan scene, more varied teams, more intriguing places to travel to as a fan

Had heard of him but didn't know anything about him. Then I was invited to a mate's villa party in Ibiza, only about 10 of us there, and this geezer comes over, chatting away ten to the dozen, seemed a sound lad and then it struck me he might be some famous bloke. Turned out it was Dapper Laughs. He was embarrassing at Ibiza Rocks the next day (long story) but was nice to me so speak as you find etc.

Oh, no - I think he's ****, mate.

Fair enough, guess our league seems to think poorly of it for some reason

It’s definitely taken more seriously by continental European clubs.

Think the 'tradition' of playing Saturday's is removed and is almost seen as an inconvenience rather than an honour to play on the European front.

Totally agree on Flats, he's both informative and humorous in his commentary unlike the Treasonous and boring S Barnes and B Moore

There are people who play/exploit the depression card in order to gain a free pass to being a total bel lend in life.

Detracts from others sadly.

I like listening to Simon Jordan on TalkSPORT.

He tells it like it is, doesn't shirk the difficult discussions and doesn't mind being unpopular.

He may be a bit flash but he speaks very well imo.

Agree...ish. He’s also a bit of a cock, though.

Sounds more like Chris Eubanks every time I hear him, trying to shoehorn long words into sentences that really don’t need them.

My main issue is that he speaks about football from a viewpoint of having employed Iain Dowie, Steve Kember, Steve Bruce...and Peter Taylor(!!) to manage his teams. At least 3 of those are unforgivable.

Yeah he's deffo a bit of a cock but at least he's not all PC in his views.

I think he's publicly admitted he fvcked up many times at Palace tbf.

Maybe I like listening to him because he's not your normal pundit and gives a different perspective. Not sure I'd want to share a beer with him mind..

Got to love the Dowie scenario- told Jordan he wanted to leave to be closer to his family....and then moves to Charlton lol

Just my opinion

Well, only if the people who post on it are seeking attention...
