He's literally nothing like Kapustka.

Exactly, he's a similar build to Waghorn and Ryan Fraser, low centre of gravity and stocky.

No, I understand what you are saying, you're just wrong or watching the wrong player. I've watched the U21 games and he's absolutely nothing like Kapustka. He looked completely lost in those games, Thomas has been pretty combative and stood out a mile.

I haven't seen him play and he sounds a good young prospect. However, let's not forget that he's played for Coventry in a division where your perhaps more likely to get a good clog and as much physicality as the Premiership. Kaputska never had, it seems, such an apprenticeship. A Coventry City fan I know says Thomas is quite capable of looking after himself.  However, the Premiership is faster, more draining and with some quality experienced international midfielders and defenders and introductions too soon on could be demoralising for him. The boy is doing well and possibly ahead of schedule, let's just give him some support and encouragement.

I've been watching him a bit and he's doing really well but the first teams a big shout, we've got 55M worth of strikers that can hardly get a kick. Put him on the bench v Leeds and if we get a few goals up put him on for 15/20 mins.

He is a similar build to Waghorn (perhaps not quite as bulky - yet !) - and plays in a similar position and style.  I saw him play for Cov in the EFL Final - but he never managed to kick the ball over the stand though (I always thought Waggy would make a good Rugby Full Back) !

Clearly you still don't understand.

Thomas is nowhere near ready for Prem games. He's maybe at L1. You are fooling yourself.

Thomas is remarkably similar in all sorts of ways, he's even got the same haircut! Waggy has got 6 goals in 8 appearances for Ipswich this season, he's a very effective player in the Championship. I saw Thomas play for Coventry last season and thought he looked a much better quality player than Waggy, at the same age.

Big difference between being ready for the premier league and "looking lightweight", because he just hasn't looked lightweight to anyone but you. He's actually physically strong and pretty combative.

Ready for the first 11, no... but he's not lightweight either.

I also see no harm in giving youngsters some exposure to PL football even if they aren't necessarily ready for week in, week out PL football. It gives them the invaluable experience of what it's going to be like and you never know, they might just hit the ground running. Look at Rashford, he was nowhere near ready according to a lot of people close to the club but nothing fazes him and he's just learnt fast.

We've many other players who get the odd game who don't particularly impress but they aren't kept back, I'd much rather a highly rated youth who's excelling in every level they play (U23 and U21 internationally) get recognition than players like Ulloa and Musa who we seem duty bound to play in the cup as they're crap and are a waste of time still bein at the club.

I forgot that you know everyone else's opinion Babylon. I wonder why Shakey isn't playing him then, perhaps he just happens to agree with me.

He's nothing close to being light weight, how anyone (not saying you two) comes to that conclusion from those games I find beyond belief.

Just a general opinion from having seen him play  for a few years....

Well nobody else has said it have they.

He's not playing him because he doesn't think he's ready, just like I don't. That doesn't make him lightweight, calling someone lightweight means you think they aren't physically strong enough. As I've said multiple times, he's a combative player. He's nothing like being lightweight, he might be short in stature but he's strong.

It's not a surprise that a lad whose played so many competitive games looks far too good for the Under 23s. If we don't get him out on loan to a L1 club at the very least in January, we are holding him back.

We can only send a player on loan during the transfer window. They changed the rules last year.

With logic like that, no wonder you're always right.

Play the kid Saturday. Sometimes chucking in a talented kid works. Look at Winks, just 4 first team starts and now in the England team.

Nothing to lose if Ndidi is injured.

Yeah 'in January' I said. Very least was me referring to the standard of football

No chance. Our potential up and coming players are fast tracked by Barnsley. Winks would not get a look in here.

Am I right in thinking he plays similar to Vardy and Shinji, quick, chases lost causes and is a nuisance for defenders?

If so he is probably a better option to bring on than Slim or Nacho (especially if they don't want to be here) then we don't have to change shape or tactics, just bring on fresh legs.
