I remember being gobsmacked when we paid a million for a non league player aged 25 or whatever he was at time, and during his 1st season I thought My feeling was vindicated.

But that million was the best million spent in the history of our football Club I think. With the exception of last season he just gets better and better. For me, nothing beats the one against Liverpool, his Eleventh against Utd was the icing on the cake. He’s a fantastic player to watch,as he, like Mahrez is always capable of doing something a bit special.

I hope we get a few more seasons out of him.

The man epitomises our team. Absolute legend status.

He's not just our best ever striker, he is also Leicester through and through and the symbol of everything that has been successful over the past 4 years.

The fact he turned down Arsenal to stay with us, he has pushed Linekar into #2 position of most legendary LCFC striker of all time!

sadly, can't be watched in uk...

FFS.  Arlo is an NBC employee (so US content) but I never thought an interview would fall afoul of whatever keeps the local faithful from watching the actual games.

Anyhow, Leicester lad interviewing Leicester legend and I hope before long someone will figure out how to let those of you who are interested, see it.

Three more goals, and he'll have surpassed Danny Liddle's goalscoring record.

16 more to go and he'll enter the club's all-time Top Ten.

I do hope he sticks around for at least another two, three years.

He’s the type of player every teams wants. When he scores, it’s like he absolutely loves it. Not only for the goal, but to have given us fans something and massively p!ss off the fans of other teams,  some more than others.

He leaves everything on the pitch, this isn’t just a job to him, he loves it!

I think he’s way overrated. The league has figured him out and he has become less effective as a result, we need to start phasing him out before it’s too late.

Every attacking player we’ve bought in the last couple yrs has flopped simply because the team is designed to work for Vardy.  I don’t see us doing anything except avoiding relegation until we change the system or get players that complement the young players.

agree with the secind bit about every striker we buy we are trying to play them how we play vardy but overrated!!!! you really think that?

He’s definitely not as effective as before because other teams have figured how to defend us.

USA Fox are you on the wind up with this post? I look forward to hearing more views on why Jamie is so overrated, if you are Stateside  like your name implies, why we have got soccerball and Jamie Vardy so wrong?

Nope.

He migh have some quiet games, but he's actually scoring less because Puel's system demands it. As a lone striker most of the time, he's more the bait than the scorer. His job is to open paths for the other attackers and he's doing fairy well.

One goal every second game. That's an outstanding record - and that with a team that was struggling last season, as well as at the start of this campaign.

He's on course for 15 to 20 goals this season and likely to up to a 55 PL goals by the end of May.

"Yeah but Michael Ricketts scored a few in a season once", I recall as justification for saying Vardy was a flash in the pan.

Might've been Danny Mills (usually is).

I think your mathematics might be dubious...

Got carried away there, I admit.

Maybe I'm just a bit desperate for him (and the team) to break some more records along the way.

Long may it continue.

If JV has 100 PL goals come May, then I will be booking my flights for the CL for next season!

In a team that i'd argue isn't easy for a striker to play in (Look at all the strikers we've signed and see 'flop') he's got a remarkable record. If he finishes with 15 goals i'd say that's job done for him and surely on the plane to the WC

He's got to be on the plane regardless. Be criminal if he didn't make it.

Personally I'd start him up front with Kane, but I know it's going to be Alli behind Kane - with 2 CM's behind Alli.

Thought Vardy was class yesterday. Their defence couldn't cope with him at all.
