Hope the goals return soon.

Currently has 2 goals in 13 games for Leicester. We're at our best when he's on song.

Maybe we aren't though. He got 1 of our 10 goals in the 4 game winning run. It's not a criticism of him at all as I'm a firm believer that being a forward is about far more than just scoring now.

Abrasive on the match thread - he is usually clued up on stuff

I'm sure I saw Vardy come off the bench and score a penalty in stoppage time last night, and then hit the post in the shoot out, but if the 'clued up' Abrasive Fox says he's not going to play then I must have imagined all that stuff happening.

He is still great but with 2 goals in 13 games I'm pretty sure a £20mill striker we've got will be knocking on the manager's door asking about more playing time.

I take this back.

I think if we'd have started Vardy last night we might have had a better chance. Mangala and Bravo both needed more pressure putting on them.

First half we minds well not even turned up.

Still missing some gilt edge chances in spite of his other contributions to the game.

I think that its high time Vardy came in for some criticism, to some he can do no wrong! He's actually been pretty poor for a few weeks now and there were opportunities last night where he should have scored. The problem is we revolve our team around him and if he isn't playing well and finishing well then we are also pretty poor.

Scored vs Spurs, made assists vs Newcastle & Southampton in the last 5 games. He contributes so much more than just goals. Give him some flak.

Sorry when did he assist Vs Newcastle? As far as I can remember his only assist was the last Shinji goal Vs Southampton?

Also Spurs, Newcastle and Southampton is 3 games, Against Man City - yes he scored the first penalty but was guilty of a couple of missed chances and missed the 2nd penalty, vs Crystal Palace....well we know what happened there and the only other game between Spurs and Newcastle was Burnley, again a game in which he actually did not do a lot?

He personally made important contributions to wins against Spurs, Newcastle and Southampton; was part of a great team performance which was rated 6.92 on hereEveryone had a shocker against Palace.

Last night was pretty poor until he and Mahrez came on and we actually looked dangerous. Yeah he might have missed a few chances and the penalty but at least we had a few chances in the first place.

I honestly think his energy, tempo and all round contribution is just ignored sometimes.

He ain't going to the world cup in this form.

Pretty sure he will. He's doing very well. THe new system doesn't favor him (at scoring).

As much as the eye test seems to show JV has been missing quality chances, he is still converting at a higher rate (7 on 30 shots = .233) than he did in 2015/16 (24 on 115 = .209).  Both excellent numbers btw.

He is taking a smaller share of City's shots (16%, down from 22%).  And the team as a whole is attempting far fewer.

As a benchmark, Man City are converting at a .237 clip, which is insanely high for the PL.

He's not playing particularly well but an out of sorts Vardy still offers so much more than Iheanacho, Slimani, Musa or Ulloa. It's concerning that we'll have to try and replace him over the coming years.

Well, he’d better perk up soon as I made a £50 bet at the beginning of the season with a Man City fan that he’d score more than Sterling
