More or less 2 threads going on asking almost exactly the same question, i've just posted this in the other one:

I think generally it's frustration, it's frustration of how this game panned out, we had them on the back foot, we went 1 up, we rolled over, I think most people wouldn't have reacted so badly if we'd turned up against Palace and Watford, Yes i'm still talking about those games, I'm still angry about the Palace game, 2 weeks ago, still angry.

Before I say this, this isn't a 'Haha, I told ya so!' comment, I'm angry i'm right, After that Palace game I said I was angry blah, blah, blah, it's gonna take a long time to sort this out and I can't see where we're gonna get a win, someone replied 'Not even against Watford?!'...No, not even against Watford, why? Because we didn't turn up, again.

Today's post's aren't necessarily because we lost to Liverpool, it's a culmination of shit performances in games you'd like to think we had a chance in, the fact we looked ok, went 1 up, sat back, threw it away, now people are venting but it's mainly down to what we've seen in the previous games leading up to this imo.

I don't see us doing much, if anything against Huddersfield because our mentality and mind set e.t.c...Will the team even turn up, questionable.

As Leicester fans the above never seems to change, we do the tough task, come back to 2-2 with 10 men and the referee giving us nothing v Man Utd, the 2 'easier' games before and after that we bottle it. It never seems to change, we should be used to it but it doesn't work like that and the frustration only gets more, well, frustrating!

Some people get just as stupidly OTT when the going is good.

We played magnificently at southampton after a good run and it sparked top 4 talk. TOP 4. were not even ONE MONTH later and people are questionning puel and the run were on.

Did anyone think it would be any different? Everyone is so evenly matched results are very variable.

Puel has the players he has, hes new to the job, the newness factor has gone and hes moulding a side.

The top 4 chat was hilarious. So OTT after scraping a couple of wins together.

yeh not sure anyone had top 4 as a serious discussion. however after the southampton game getting a bit carried away was fully on, being honest. we'd won 4 in a row, beaten a top 4 side comfortably, annihilated southampton away and had the worst away team in the league and the worst form team in the league in our next three games.

the way we were playing and the form of our opponents should have easily seen us pick up 6 more points over the festive period than we have, and we should've probably won in the league cup, too. talk of europe, top 4, actually being good wouldn't look anywhere near as daft if we were 4 points behind spurs and arsenal and had a two legged cup semi vs bristol city on the horizon.

sure it's all ifs and buts, but it wasn't too unrealistic to think we should be sitting here in that position, and we've royally fu cked up the last 14 days.

however today we were going to get battered, got battered and nearly got a point. meh.

We've got 1 point out of 12, and the point against Man U was lucky, they should have murdered us. We've lost heavily, at home to a Crystal Palace side that hadn't scored away from home before that match, and away to Watford who were in a terrible patch of form. Today we could have easily conceded 4 or 5. I don't think a bit of moaning is so out of place personally.

But before that we won 4 in a row didn’t we we’re still 8th we’re going to have good and poor runs throughout the season

Honestly, the reactions of our fans are so erratic. Bipolar on steroids. Win a few games in a row and we're on our way to Europe, what were Southampton doing by sacking the genius that is Puel. Our players are incredible.

Lose a few and we should sack everyone, burn the stadium down, send your season tickets back

Pull yourselves together ?

Said it would happen a while back. The same fans who got carried away with the start CP made are the same fans who turn just as quickly.

It was always going to happen with the tricky fixtures we have over dec/Jan. We'll drop a few places and people will lose their sh!t the we'll make them up again near the end of the season with a kinder run of games.

It feels like a weekly meltdown amongst LCFC fans if we don't win. If it's not Puel then it's King or Amartey or Iheanacho or Rudkin. We are where we are because that's the squad we have. WDWLLD will probably be our form for the season.

I'm not happy to lose to Palace at home or throw the the cup v Man City, and certain members of the club deserve criticsm but it feels like some of you get no enjoyment from football. If everything is a cause for a meltdown I suggest you pack it in and call it a day.

I suggest you wait until the end of the season and curb your enthusiasm.

Sorry I expect when we go in front not to concede bullshit goals and be down 2-1. Especially three league games in a row.

After keeping the ball well, controlling the game for the first 15mins and scoring even earlier , i am going to have a good old moan when we lose after such a great start . My standards are high and i don't like losing when in that position . Only the blue tinted glasses brigade that seek other blue tinted friends will accept it .

I say again... for those of us who have been around long enough on here to remember, the over-reaction to wins or losses does not stem from having won the league. It's always been the case.

I genuinely, deep within my bones want the players and manger to do welll. That's what being a football supporter is all about. The word supporter means you support the team and players.

But the seems to be a group of 6 or 7 posters who seem to pathologically hate certain players and managers and seem to enjoy it when they play badly. Part of me thinks it's good to have different opinions, it would be boring if we all agreed etc etc. But another bigger part of me thinks these people aren't real supporters. Their veiws are moronic, they look to be deliberately confrontational, they try to create an atmosphere amongst supporters that is harmful to the club. So they should be banned from the message board and banished to the Bentley's roof wilderness.

Not going to moan about Puel as he's trying to get us to adopt a much more sustainable style, it's early days and he hasn't had a transfer window to work with yet.

We're putting together some frustrating results and performances at the minute though- we're far better going forward than we are defending with the current set of players, and being conservative was what cost Shakespeare his job.

Puels time so far has been a little strange, we know we have a squad capable of fighting for top 6 place on its day, and Puel had them passing the ball and he was rotating the players and we were winning and now it's all gone wrong, our passing game seems to have gone and to go ahead and lose is frustrating especially when you see klopp on the sideline but in reality we're missing Simpson who's so fundamental to our defense and players form does drop. I did predict us to lose 2-1 yesterday but didn't expect us to go ahead again to then concede. You can understand fans frustration. A manager needs at least 3 transfer windows and then he can be judged, we need to clear out a few players I think before anyone can judge puel on anything

I suspect opponents are setting up differently to counteract.

Because a ot of our fans were at the rugby every Saturday before we won the league and being 8th is bad for them. They can' remember us being 8th in the championship as they had no interest then

I agree, Puel isn't the problem at the moment, he's barely got his feet under the table yet.

I'm certain that perceived dips in form from teams that used to look fairly cohesive are due to transfer windows and the agent shenanigans. It could be shite of course but I'm adamant it changes things quite significantly.

I did not overreact yesterday.  I expected us to lose.

It's games like Palace and Watford that annoy me. It's those game we should be taking points from.

Posted

It works the other way round also.

2 back to back wins and we are heading for Europe. 3 and we can make top 4.

The success of winning the league has set high expectations for some. But, who can really blame them with some of the performances that we have seen recently.

I keep out of the match threads now as much as possible. The moaning from some when certain players are picked is bad enough. Let me guess yesterdays thread went something like. Afew moans at the team befor KO. 3 mins in pure ecstasy for 5 mins the best team in the world. Then the mood changed and we where crap and ended up with some throat and wrist slitting by some? Oh forgot to add one of our world class ended up total shite.

I imagine all fans do the same tbh. Crimbo limbo probably doesn't help, people are bored and therefore irrational.

I've avoided this place on the whole recently. Any calls for Puel out yet?
