We played Derby twice last sesson in the cup and nobody here cared. I'm not that bothered about Notts Forest. Nice away end though.

Please don't call them that ;)

The club of late that I think we have the best battles with has been Tottenham. We’ve also had some great rounds with Man City.

Not a rivalry, but I think both sides have to have their heads screwed on straight or it’ll be a long afternoon.

Forest are the main ones and will be until something significant happens with us and Coventry. By significant, I mean Coventry completely turn things around on the pitch and end up at our level again and playing us regularly. Forest is a heated game as much as they refuse to admit it but I wouldn't say it's anywhere near one of the fiercest. Coventry and Leicester ultimately have no proper rivals and I reckon one day they might just end up focusing on each other.

Always made me laugh how Derby and Forest fans try and make out there's some superiority in those two being rivals that it makes us irrelevant. I mean yeah, it's got everything to do with how massive and relevant those two Championship clubs are and nothing to do with the fact they're about 10 miles apart and we're about 30 from both.

Oh, and Aston Villa aren't our rivals. Little bit of needle between the fans when we've played them but nothing close to a rivalry.

Go and support them then ...

To be fair to @Koke, I think you can admire a club, the way it’s run, some of its quirks etc without having to give up your support for LCFC.

I dispise anyone that beats us . . . thankfully I've had some restbite over the last couple of seasons. Saying that, being a 'plastic' in the South I've always harboured grudges over Southampton and Manchester Utd - partly down to their fans.

Ive always despised certain clubs and their fans. Liverpool, Leeds, Celtic and Birmingham just because i detest the place who designed the cvnt?

The Burnley/Leicester thing is just that we have spent quite a few of the last few seasons (one obvious exception) chasing the same position in the league.  It's nothing permanent.  We used to have a strange one-sided rivalry with Stockport, just because we kept drawing them in every cup going (11 matches in two seasons) and they couldn't find anyone else t claim rivalry against.

If Coventry were currently still in the PL, that would be a massive rivalry by now- no Villa or Birmingham to distract them, no Forest or Derby to distract us, as was always the case when we've both been in the top flight.

It's a shame in a way, but being the best club in the midlands by an absolute mile is nice.

Maybe it's because we've been the most successful East Mids club in the modern era by a long way, but it also feels like the Forest & Derby rivalries have faded a bit. Maybe there was always a bit of resentment there that we were the only ones who hadn't won a major trophy which made us dislike them more. That's my view anyway, but I live south of Leicester- I'm sure people from the north hate them as much as ever lol

Would people really care that much if Forest, Derby or Cov got the PL and we played them though? Can't say I really care that much about the potential for those games these days.

I care about Forest but hopefully they get wound up and have to reform in the 12th tier before they play us at the big table. Can't stand them and their Carling fans.

Up here in the Ashby area it's definitely Derby that are the most hated rival (though for some strange reason the area is full of Liverpool 'fans' too).

I imagine in south Leics it's Cov and north Leics it's Forest, no?

Cov is that kid in class who you aren’t allowed to laugh anymore, the one who has a full-time classroom assistant. Cov isn’t a rival, it’s a charity case. The sheep aren’t much better. There’s only one and it’s Notts Forest, and people who don’t like it written that way are a bunch of Covs.

It's reciprocated though. Burnley, Sunderland and Tottenham fans are weirdly obsessed with us and also created a petty feud with us as well.

It's not like those above mentioned fans are a lovely and complimentary to us.

Palace have a surreal obsession with us as well.

If ever you're bored and want a couple of hours free entertainment, tell a Palace fan that they don't have the best atmosphere in England and watch the fireworks.

It's neither the biggest nor the fiercest rivalry in the second tier either - see Birmingham-Villa and the Steel City derby for details. Bizarre how they believe that a second tier derby between midtable sides who've won nothing in decades is a low key El Clasico.

We are now officially rivalless. Is that a word?

While the shaggers & f****t continue their lower division rivalry, Cov are long forgotten & our nearest opponents in the prem are over 50 miles away the fact is nobody hates us.

Friary Lane O.B or St Andrews are our closest rivals. Not sure which is nearer.
