Yet another football league club falling. Shame.

Can't believe the size of some of those clubs in non league. The likes of Hartlepool, Halifax, Tranmere...

Enter Jeff, stage left.

Am sure he'll provide them with some much-needed funds. He's quite an avid fan.

The area in itself is quite a dump, no offence to the fans; and can see it being a big group of locals plugging in as a result of no big international investors wanting to back the club.

Even York and Orient, some of them have just been terribly handled. It's funny when it's Cov but I feel bad for others.

It's awfully sad.

After Darlington imploded a few years back, the area has had it rough.

I've got rellies in Hartlepool.

My uncle used to tell me as a little 'un that when he arrived in Hartlepool, he was looking for their ground and was told to follow the crowd,  and ended up in the Co-op.

Gullible boy , I totally believed him...

We see middle ranking players in the Prem who don't play much earning obscene amounts, while lower tier clubs go bust.

Trickle-down doesn't seem to work down at the bottom of the football pyramid.

Just think about how easily teams like Hartlepool could be saved or at least given a lifeline if some of these rich football ****ers were to join forces and donate a fraction of their *cough* hard-earned money.

Sometimes, football can save lives. I think it's not an overstatement when I say that football is what's keeping a whole region alive up there in No Man's Land.

Here's to the club getting out of troubles soon. :fc:

5% of all transfer fees and 1% of every premier league players wage should go to the FA, with a clear audit trail.

This pot can be used to keep clubs like this afloat, the rest goes back into grass roots football. The interest on this money can go to pay off the Wembley debt.

It does make you wonder if the money from TV rights is evenly distributed. I mean, would we really miss £200 k from the 100 million we receive every season?.

Chucked some money their way.

Used to go watch Hartlepool when they had away games in the Midlands way with an old school mate.

Looking like Middlesborough fans abd board are rallying around to help Pools after they in turn helped save Boro in the 80's.

Professional footballers should contribute 0.5% of their gross wage to a solidarity fund. Though only issue with that is that it might induce some crap owners to rely on such a fund.

A group of players, led by Juan Mata, have clubbed together to donate 1% of their wages albeit to charity rather than to other football clubs...

Including our own Kasper
