I'd like to see any dive/diver punished if it can proven that a dive has taken place. Today's was a dive and should be punished, the fact it didn't receive a pen doesn't change that, so I don't think the punishment should be any less.

He fell over the defender's leg, did he not ?? He might have initiated, he might not.

It might've looked like a dive to you but you can't prove it.

Yeah I can’t be hypocritical about it. Hate diving and don’t wanna see our players doing it. Don’t mind players making the most of rash challenges but completely fabricating contact isn’t acceptable

It wasn't fabricated. There was contact.

If it was a nailed on dive why did he not get booked?

Possibly that the referee didn't want to give them. Didn't give Morata one for doing it in the early first half either.

Riyad dived today- no pen no action. Gray dived against Man City and got the pen. Wilf dived against Palace and got the yellow. No real difference in any of them. Shows how refereeing inconsistency changes games, but it needs stopping

What about another ref watching ..   say ..   on a remote video ?     That might help ..  :)

Did he dive or what? I'm waiting for MOTD.

My view from the away end was right in line and it looked like there was contact.

The amount of Chelsea players diving though. Morata spends most his time on the ground.

Not a pen at all.

I'd have been raging if we conceded one like it. He dragged a standing leg to the defender and went over.

If we'd have got it he'd have been suspended for 3 games definitely

Was in the upper tier, bang in line with the goal and thought there was contact, and can’t get my head around why he would dive, if it was like some say as he was through on goal.

Think like yourself, need to see it on camera, but looked nailed on at the game

I'd like to see any non-Leicester City dive/diver punished. Riyad should have been given a penalty for his.

I was watching on TV and seen replays, yes it was a dive. There is no way you can say it wasn't when you've seen it a few times.

If that was given against us every man and his dog would be kicking off.

Most blatant dive I’d ever seen. Still would have loved it though if it meant we got 3 points at Stamford Bridge.

Yeah me too, I’m a complete hypocrite and unapologetic about it.

It's a shame because he actually played really well.

But any player who does that lets themselves down and if the FA don't ban them then the club should be fining them. It's important someone within football takes a stand.

Sorry but it's not like he just left his leg there and the guy took him out, or he was tripped but he initiated the contact. This was just a blatant dive - as in, at no point did any contact impede him or make him lose balance.

No it was fabricated, minimal contact is about as relevant as a slight gust of wind.

There was a tiny bit of contact but people are burying their heads in the sand if they claim you can't tell he intentionally threw himself to the floor.

Any honest person would look at that incident and say it was a dive straight away. Should be a 6 game ban, end of story.

Definitely dived. Stupid thing is had he won the pen he could have been done retrospectively. No sanction now. I love the guy but he tried to cheat today and not for the first time.

You make it sound like diving is a new and worrying development in the prem. You could make a five minute highlights video of Vardy's dives! The faux outrage at Mahrez is bizarre.

It's something you see week in week out and have done so for years. All the so-called great players from Shearer to the present day have been trying and succeeding in conning the referee. I don't condone it but it's nothing new. They used to call it "gamesmanship".
