Fox92 Posted 20 January 2018 Posted 20 January 2018 Maguire and Dragovic looking like a great partnership and both still young which is excellent for us long term.

Dragovic has made Maguire play better, that shouldn't be forgotten. Both quality, it's nothing whatsoever against Wes and Huth, but these two are class. 7
Alex_LCFC Posted 20 January 2018 Posted 20 January 2018 Question is. Is he happy with life over here and does he want to stay

He might not want to come to us, but he won’t be able to go to any other club either.... he’s being shown some love by us right now.. and even if Morgan makes it back in the team come end of the season I think we can all see that his time as a regular is coming to an end...
ARM1968 Posted 21 January 2018 Posted 21 January 2018 Chuck him the money and the answer to both will be yes. Well worth a punt imho.
bpfox Posted 21 January 2018 Posted 21 January 2018 even for the rest of the season i would like to see wes play in the middle of a back three with harry and dragovic. then wish wes and huth good bye and bring in another young c/back.
dpjfox Posted 21 January 2018 Posted 21 January 2018 i thought he was out of contract in the summer so therefore able to sign pre contact with us for free! Hope im right

Hope im right Just checked on Wikipaedia and he signed a 5yr contract with Leverkeusen in 2016, so no, fraid not. It also said: Dragović attracted serious public criticism when he playfully slapped the Swiss politician Ueli Maurer several times on his head during the celebrations subsequent to the Cup Final in May 2012.[13] After he made further condescending comments stating that he was very reluctant to apologize and said that "on the inside everybody knows, so I believe, that it was very, very much fun doing it", he had to travel to the Bundeshaus in Berne and apologize personally to Ueli Maurer. No mate it just means If someone else bids we have the opportunity to match/beat that bid.
Rogstanley Posted 21 January 2018 Posted 21 January 2018 Don’t see the point of waiting unless we have to, snap him up now and get that partnership with Maguire developing
foxes_rule1978 Posted 21 January 2018 Posted 21 January 2018 20m is cheap these days he is very good and should sign now

This dispells any potential doubts. I'm in love. Gerrimin

That doesn't sound right. Anyone could do that anyway. I thought that it meant that the fee has been agreed, the player has agreed and it's just a yes or no from us at the end of the loan even if someone else where to bid higher. It just means we have a fee in principle agreed, we might still have to compete for his signature if another club agrees a fee. Edited 21 January 2018 by Strokes
HighPeakFox Posted 21 January 2018 Posted 21 January 2018 Interesting - does first option not mean if the player and clubs all want the move, it cannot be undermined? It's very confusing

I've just tried to google some clarification on this but couldn't find anything definitive. I suspect what you say is right though otherwise these agreements aren't worth the paper they're written on and aren't worth having. I would imagine both Leverkusen and Dragovic are legally obligated to do this deal if Leicester decided to trigger the clause. Any other scenario renders the whole thing worthless.
MPH Posted 21 January 2018 Posted 21 January 2018 @UpTheLeagueFox are you able to clarify the meaning in this deal of ‘first option’ ?
