Just hope the manager and squad have been able to focus on this game, they shouldn't have games on the last day of the window. We could've played last night in any case.

The players are reportedly fuming.. The last time we played while angry we destroyed Liverpool 3-1. Here's hoping...

Appleton has been feeding them raw meat for 24 hours to get them mentally prepared

His agent must be a dick to think this was the best way to engineer a big money move  and am less impressed with Mahrez for listening.

Still if gets his form back and apologises to the first team for being an idiot maybe we can get another 15 games from him before he leaves

But agents always have the best interest of the player in mind.

They (along with other clubs) caused this outrageous market they can’t go off crying when a ‘smaller’ club stands up for themselves.

No he’s not worth what we’re asking, no one is, but what’s gone before it, the prices being flung about means he is worth what we’re asking in comparison.

As others have already mentioned, the whole "Manchester City have approached Leicester City over Riyad Mahrez" was all but a smokescreen to test the water. No way could they afford to dish out another £80m to £90m (or more) in January, when they've already spent £57m on Laporte and £3.5m on Jack Harrison in a season that has seen them pay in the excess of £215m for Mendy, Walker, Silva, Ederson, Danilo and Douglas Luiz.

Hello, FFP.

I suppose they'll be back in the summer.

Correct me if I’m wrong but ain’t the transfer fee divided over the course of the length of the contract for FFP calculations even if the club has paid the whole sum up front

Radio Leicester just reported it was a £90m package. Approximately £60m for Mahrez plus an unknown Man City player as part of the deal. MC didn’t want this and ended their interest.

Well who’s valued at around £30 mill who would want to come here

Strategic move from the Thai , rejecting bids every transfer window until mahrez get tired and wont ask to move anymore even for 150m

The price for a bang average player is ridiculous these days, could be anyone not even getting on their bench
