Maguire - Morgan - Dragon Ndidi - Iborra Albrighton - Silva - Diabate/Chilly Ian - Vardy (posting from phone so sorry for formatting) I would like that too. But as a club we seem to reserve 3 at the back for panic stations trying to get back into a game in the last quarter of an hour Edited 3 February 2018 by AlloverthefloorYesNdidi 1
baldeagle Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 Can’t argue with that, I am surprised Amartey isn’t on the bench though as I thought he was possible our best player against Everton and Simpson is just back from injury . Also with Diabate ahead of Gray I hope it gives Gray a kick up the arse

MC Prussian Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 One of the strongest line-ups under the circumstances, possible the strongest we can up with at all. Hope they stick together as a team and can overcome the lack of creativity usually provided by Mahrez. There were sparks of positivity in the midweek game, let‘s hope the players have learnt the lesson. 2
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 3 February 2018 Popular Post Posted 3 February 2018 Puel has balls! - In the window he moved out a number of "dead weight" players who weren't really getting involved. - Blooded an unknown youngster from Ligue 2 into the team at the expense of the under performing Gray. - He's dropped Chilwell after clangers in recent weeks. - He's starting Silva and Ndidi together. - He's playing Nacho and Vardy together. This team to me says that without Mahrez we need maximum creativity in the team, and by god Puel has gone for it! For me the only think that concerns me is starting Nacho and Vardy together, as I feel Shinji and Vardy are a better combination. But I trust Puel, I think the guy is willing to pull no punches and utilize the squad to it's best potential. And to be fair in recent weeks the Nacho we have seen is the one we hoped we would be getting. He seems a lot sharper and up for it than before. Very important game today with the drama of this week. COYB, let's put in one hell of a performance! 5
Larry_LCFC Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 Really good team that. Very excited to see how it works. Never been so glad to see Fuchs. Chillwell can get in the bin after midweek. He has alot of learning to do.
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 Gray gets ample chances these days. I'm losing a bit of patience with him, so he deserves to warm the bench. Concerned he just doesn't want it enough. Hope Diabate does.
AlloverthefloorYesNdidi Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 That lineup actually made me forget about Mahrez for 2 minutes

Diabate and Silva starting is good. Have a feeling Nathan Dyer is going to give Fuchs a tough game. Hopefully he can run a bit today. Nacho is in Nacho's role, Not Okazaki's,No use comparing. A selection I believe an high % of fans were looking for.. Even if we dont get that desired performance today, its got legs, as they say...

Blue Collar Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal: "Leicester are a very strong team and I think it will be the hardest game we have played since I arrived. "They have good balance in their team when they are attacking and defending and they have good organisation."

I must have been seeing something that everyone else didn't. (Maybe Puel and Appleton saw it)
Larry_LCFC Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 On a sidenote, what the hell is that away support? Anything less 1500 on a Saturday afternoon in the premier league is an embarrassment. Looks about 800.
jayfox26 Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 I'm liking that team. I defo think against the bottom half teams we can go with 2 up top. I really want Nacho and Vardy to work as I think there is a really good player in Nacho if he has a run of games. But ultimately his game time will depend on him creating a partnership with Vardy. Good to see Diabate start again. Maybe we did have Mahrez's replacement all along and we were just playing Man City. Time will tell and I'm sure we'll know a bit more about our new signing after today

Give him a few years and he could be an elite player in this department. Apparently he outscores everyone in training, also in freekicks.

StriderHiryu Posted 3 February 2018 Posted 3 February 2018 One word of caution. Swansea have done very well recently and more than anything seem to have team spirit back in the camp, and are really fighting for each other. We have the better quality but today we need to show that 15/16 attitude for sure. If we win the individual battles we should win the game. I really felt that against Everton the team looked shell shocked at times for understandable reasons. But we can't use that as an excuse. What if Mahrez was injured instead of sulking? We'd need other players to step up. So that is what is required today!
