Making a substitution to replace a winger playing at right back, with a right back, against arguably the best team this country has ever seen doesn't seem too ludicrous does it?

After we had handled them quite constantly for almost a full half, yes it is ludicrous. First half set up how I imagine that have practices all week, second a quick change and look what happened. Stick to the plan. I wouldnt mind the loss if we had carried on like the first half and lost but handing them the centre of the park and getting butt Fvcked has annoyed me.

I enjoy the brand of football that Puel has introduced, but his continued selection of Chilwell and James in our starting eleven and substitutions leave me baffled.

Chilwell gives the ball away far to easily and has been at fault for several goals recently!  James just doesn't cut it in the Premier league, especially when Iborra is sat on the bench.

As for todays half time sub, Silva had some decent touches first half and looked comfortable, he would have been my pick for our best midfield player at half time, he gets subbed. Not the first time that Claude has dragged one of our better performing players this season.  Whats the deal with this?

I don't think it mattered today, we were outclassed against a very good side, but these managerial errors have and will continue to cost us points against lesser opposition.  Lets hope we've learnt some lessons today!

Silva may have had a knock

I heard he didn’t have a knock, there was no reason to take him off.

I think the manager should come out and say he got this completely wrong. We were okay first half and had s chance of getting a point or maybe three.

His change was a massive error and he should admit it. As soon as I saw the change I thought what is he doing?

School boy error Puel, admit you dropped a massive one today. This is nothing to do with the players, it’s the system he chose in the second half.

The thing I don't get is we've all moaned he takes too much time of subs, he's made them too late in the past.

Today, he didn't need to make any, certainly not at half time, not that early and he fucked it up making changes for the sake of making them.

What i've explained sounds like he's damned if does and damned if he doesn't but if we can see he's making subs too late or making subs for the sake of it why can't he?! There is no saying if he didn't make subs we'd have managed to get a draw, we'd have probably still lost, but the changes didn't need to be made, atleast give it 15 - 20 minutes of the 2nd half first, especially how we ended the 1st half.

Looking for a scapegoat are we? What evidence is there for this silly assumption?

Sky showed a conversation between Appleton & Puel just before half-time. Only speculating, not being silly.

We actually changed to 4231 after we scored.

Albrighton went to RB with Diabate in front of him, Silva behind Vardy.

Yes Puel changed personnel, but the tactics would should have been the same.

Iborra getting no game time at all now seems odd, might be problems behind the scenes.

Bringing on simpson seemed a bizarre choice, as usually you want to keep the back line steady during a game as they adapt to the opposition.  Especially as simpson hasnt played many games lately.

We started the second half like we started the first, which we knew didnt go well when we conceded after 2 mins, then of course we conceded quickly again.

Silva must of been injured ?

He was our only player on the pitch who could match their quality -a bit lightweight but giving something to the front two.

The second we went to a back four they poured it down the middle .

Kasper trying to be something he is not

If Mahrez was fit and ready and on the bench then he should have played him from the off.

Chilwell confirms he is not quite ready

Mahrez looked off the pace, he got thrown on I think out of desperation.

I thought taking Silva off was strange too. Has he completed 90 minutes for us yet? Maybe he’s the new Shinji! Clearly doesn’t trust him yet. Iborra is a strange one because when Puel first came in I felt that he got the best out of him. Still he did play in the cup where I felt he was average at best so the three he chose today were probably correct.

Anyway not condoning his subs but the goal we conceded after the break wasn’t his fault. On the replay Maguire let it run past him when he could have cleared it. And when the third went in it was game over and we just capitulated.

End of the day we got destroyed by one of the most expensive teams in history. Too many players had off days with Kasper in particular having probably his worst game in years. That’s only going to end one way.

We are clearly a work in progress team.

....... But where did that winger end up!!!!!!!!!

Shocking decision with Silva, he seems to only have 30 minutes in him and them constantly loses the ball or endless misplaced passes.

Iborra has been off the boil for sometime now and has not reached the heights when he came into the team. Just when you thought we had the players to take this team forward....... Silvas' lack of fitness is a great concern and playing him for 10 minutes here and there is no good. Give him a full 90 minutes in the cup as he needs to be match fit for the final run in of games.

Why do people think that any poor decision is Appletons' and not Puel. I have said before, Puel has an ingrained negativity which constantly raises its head. I wish he would stop changing the team!!!

You say it was a shocking decision with silva and then justify it, i dont understand.

Why is everyone surprised that silva looks off the pace. Not only does he have to adjust to a faster game than he isn’t used to, he has to try and get match fit at the same time. it’s going to take a while longer but he is more than good enough for our midfield.

Complete embarrassment!!!

There's no other word for it, that 2nd half we barely got close to the ball, if circumstances were different you'd question if the players had stopped playing for him, so it's a good job for him they aren't

James, Chilwell, Kasper all looking like 3rd/4th tier players, the formation change & sub was nothing short of a complete & total embarrassment.

Maguire, Chilwell, Kasper, Gray etc gone backwards, defence as a whole still clueless

Nothing in midfield, & the overlooking of Iborra is completely bizarre, seriously WTF Puel?

Compare & contrast that with Burnley taking the game to Man City last week. Embarrassing. Completely & utterly embarrassing!!! Any more performances like that & Puel can do one

Bristol City embarrassed most of the Premier league with their performances against them

Silva was perfect for the game yesterday, he was tackling, keeping the ball and helping us build moves forward and apply pressure, when he came off, our midfield was static and we had no authority in the middle

He was being swamped...so was Ndidi.  They we're better than us,and Closed down our Space.

We Seen how a top rested Wclass group of players, can Play.We we're always playing 2nd fiddle,

Even in the 1st half. The 2nd and 3rd Goals were always coming,Changes or Not.

Yesterday was ,was it was!!!  Stop the BS,give Credit to MC.

We were Not in their class. But we go again for  the Rest of the season,to prove we can

still Put in a different but good Level of performances.

Too many trying to make Out we are better than we are...Not Yesterday !!!
