Didnt hear any boos where i was sitting. On the contrary his name, along with Wes & Vardy, got the loudest cheer at the beginning, as well as a standing ovation when he left.

Considering his behaviour towards our club i think the fans were excellent and very appreciative of him. Pains me to see so many on here ridiculing our own fan base unjustifiably.

Personally I would never boo one of my own players especially one as outrageously talented and pleasing on the eye as Mahrez.

However...

He has just come back after refusing to play or train for 2 weeks. He does not give a toss about Leicester or its fans so I would not hold it against anyone too much if they have him a little boo.

This season, the atmosphere has really been poor, just my opinion l know.

I have only been two times since Puel got the manager's job in October due to my location but I don't think we've even got a chant for him yet - unreal if so!!

I was saying last night how flat the place has become. The only time we get up for it is when we have a quick attack, I think that's why the place has lost its spark. I for one can't get excited or shout when all we are doing is passing the ball from RB to RCB to LCB to LB and then all the way back. In my opinion Puels style of football is killing the atmosphere.

I'm sure there were some idiots. No matter what the player has done, booing will never improve a situation. We still have him till the summer, may as well enjoy his skills whilst we can.

Yeah, let's hoof it again like in the good old days.

I personally would rather have the quick counter attacking exciting football than the boring shit we see now.

We still do counter attack, you can do both.

I'd rather see us with possession than the opposition for 60%. You're basically saying you'd rather see the opposition pass it around at the back than us.

I'm sorry to be picky but Sheffield? You mean Sheffield united, Sheff Utd or Sheff U ? Like calling Man City just Manchester. I've never heard anyone called them just Sheffield before.

Yeah, not only was it picky it was pretty stupid. If you didn't know which team we were playing last night I'm sorry for you. BTW I was talking about Leicester City Football Club men's team not Leicester United, Leicester Riders or Leicester City women/ladies.

I hate this type of answer. We didn't hoof the ball to win the league. We played fast counter attacking football, which involved quick, direct and penetrative passing.

The amount of attacks we almost stop dead at the moment with a negative ball just to keep possession is frustrating. I can count at least 5 from memory from last night. One of them Nacho had made a brilliant run in behind, but we chose to play it back to Simpson on the right side.

Heard a bit of it around where I was the kid (late teens) next to me booed him at every opportunity so it wasn't just the away fans.

Atmospheres been poor since we won the tital barring a few exceptions.

Very true. The following season was great when in the Champions League. Maybe some have realised we probably won’t be seeing those times again for a while. I must admit, after winning the Prem it wouldn’t have bothered me too much if we ever kicked a ball again ! We’re 7/8th in the league, which is fantastic, but l guess with our recent history we see it as ‘we’re doing alright’. Hopefully a good cup run will give the atmosphere a boost.

Did anyone notice that no one congratulated him for the assist? He walked back to the half way line on his own.

Yes.

Not quite correct, some went over to him and some went over to Vardy but was very noticeable that Vardy never acknowledged the pass or thanked him in any way as they went back to the halfway line.It is no surprise that words may have been had when he ended his exile and a few of the stronger characters may still have the hump as he let them down and embarrassed the club. However people fall out all the time and it soon passes.

I made my thoughts clear on his antics but I will give him due credit for putting a shift in last night and being our top man.

Absolutely, he was different gear last night and the only player on the pitch that created anything of note.

On the quick play thing there was one last night which was three passes in seconds out to Mahrez long ball to right and pass through to Ian which just ran across him .Would have been goal of the season hope it shows on the box motd .

We need to keep that in our style sod Puel and his well documented extra passing lets go Leicester style.

Well yeah, the quick, direct passing already didn't work as soon as teams sat deep in the second half 2015/16 and then we lost Kanté. All they needed was to double up on Mahrez and just like that we became toothless, hoofed it like there is no tomorrow and almost got relegated.

So I'd take that Puel's boring football over the the turgid footbal under Ranieri (2017) and Shakey any day.
