Pathetic. Had to mute the sound for a while, it was so triggering me.

At least he has shut the tossers up, with his performance!

He got what looked like a good ovation when he got subbed off so hopefully he realises every fanbase has their fare share of idiots...

Look, what he did was very silly and last week I was rightly pissed off with him. But if he continues to give 100% in a blue shirt like he did tonight, I couldn't give a flying **** and its all water under the bridge.

Didn’t boo but didn’t clap or cheer his name at start or when he went off. Been let off the hook way too easily for what he did to disrupt the team

We benefit from the closeness of the squad, and should trust in the instincts of the players. If they have accepted Mahrez back into the fold, then so should we. If Mahrez is booed then that is tantamount to booing the whole team, and I can't see the team being impressed by hearing booing from their own supporters no matter who it is directed at.

. . . .

Oops, just seen the comments that the booing came only from the away support, so forgive my pontificating.

I'm sorry to be picky but Sheffield? You mean Sheffield united, Sheff Utd or Sheff U ? Like calling Man City just Manchester. I've never heard anyone called them just Sheffield before.

The reception for Mahrez was better than I was expecting.

His name was mainly cheered quite loudly even at the start (just a few muted boos). There a few choruses of "Riyad! Riyad!" from the kop when he did something good or went over to take a corner.

He was then a candidate for MoM - probably was MoM, just ahead of Ndidi - and got a good ovation going off.

I did notice, though, that he didn't get involved in the goal celebration much. I didn't see him congratulate Vardy or Vardy thank him for the cross, though 2 or 3 of the other players gave him a handshake of slap on the back.

I'd guess there are still a few sore feelings in the squad. But if he keeps playing like that, I won't have too many complaints.

We know he's almost certainly going in the summer. I just want him to make a big contribution to us making the Europa League & maybe Wembley, then we can wave goodbye with thanks, warm memories and his mad fortnight can be forgotten.

I would never boo one of own players but I do understand why some of our fans would. I don't agree with it but can see why mahrezs attitude and comitment has been questioned by our fans. He has clearly not helped himself and he will get a section of fans who won't forgrive his strop. Unfortunately it is what the modern footballer is and as fans you are expected to accept it.
