I’ve always wondered what the staff in the shop are on,there seems to be a hardcore of 6-7 staff(all quite young)

that seem to work full time,I assumed they would be on minimum wage,

there’s students etc working there aswell with hours to suit but assuming as I am,that the ‘hardcore’ Are on minimum wage,

Is there a good bonus scheme for them or are the paid better than I thought,or both???

any fellow staff feel free to correct me

I don't get pop up ads (my adblockers (ublock origin and disconnect) seem to work) - but the AUTOPLAY VIDEOS (nothing I do seems to stop them, apart from hurriedly clicking cancel before they can begin) ARE THE WORST THING EVER!!!!!!  (Well, almost - at least they're not a virus that destroys my computer)

Any other regional news sites for keeping a eye back on Leicester - or will I have to put up with this for perpetuity?

The Leicester Mercury phone app is better than the site.

I am so backwards technologically that only 54% of that post made sense.  I basically just come here for all my news then get annoyed at someone and post something stupid.  X

I have no idea what the actual rate of pay is for club shop staff members but seen a job advertised for that position recently and covering other areas such as the ticket office and to apply you had to send in your cv with your current salary and salary expectations.

Seems strange for a job that I can't imagine pays very well! I guess if you send in an application and you are already earning more they'll just bin it lol

I’m told It’s around the £10 an hour mark in the shop with good uplifts for Saturday and Sunday working , there are a few other perks and education opportunities are available

I gave up on it a long time ago, but have recently found the Leicester Mercury app in the store which, surprisingly, works quite well.

Think the Marketing, Security Officers are paid the most.

Most of the bar people on matchdays are agency workers, and hence are probsbly paid as minimal as possible/target-based pay etc.

The housekeeping team are on about £8.70 an hour, for a horrendous job.

I'd imagine the bar staff etc wouldn't be included in this as they are all from Compass. Could be wrong.

Articles like this don't really mean anything or provide an insight.

I think the salary expectation must be club policy. I applied for a position within the academy staff last year and had to provide a CV and salary expectation for the advertised role, whereas every other club or similar position I have applied for has been a CV and cover letter.

They get a decent perk when a top match comes along, where do you think all those missing tickets go?

I can assure you the Marketing team won’t be.

I think you've all forgot about the academy , you've finance , media etc etc at the stadium with all the coaches , science etc etc at the academy . I would say 50/50 split .

The bonus to the non-playing staff was a present from the owners ( not contractual like players and playing staff ) and gratefully received .

The gender pay gap needs addressing at the club in my honest opinion . But like others have mentioned its an overall national problem !!

There's that many different job descriptions/titles its easy to control pay that way to get round the gender pay gap .

Overall Leicester City FC are very good to their staff , that is a fact .

The Gender pay gap is a load nonsense anyway. Should be looking at pay equality instead.

Yeah the measure by definition is very poor. The main findings from most firms is that the gender balance is the problem. Shock horror that's the case at a men's professional football club.

Id be all for a equal pay for equal jobs measure to come next, because unfortunately this latest release shows us very little.
