Seems to be doing a decent job here and was widely reported when he joined that his mentor SAF had pulled him up about taking on poison chalices. Last week did it not come out how bad WBA finances were and so with looming relegation any one who is half decent will be heading off with the likes of Evans available for £3 million. Will be expecting to bounce straight back but that is proving difficult for many relegated sides, not an easy task for anyone so maybe one to avoid unless a big pay cheque is assured.

Same names are banded about. They'll probably not even go for anybody known.

But if he wants to go back to being a manager then fair play.

I wonder whether if he gave Bruce the same advice.  Sunderland first then Villa.

Would be a terrible choice for me; going from learning methods, tactics from puel and working with quality players. West Brom is a sinking ship, with mass amounts of trouble

Not worth the risk to him, going down and they are in a mess, big summer clear out and he would be left with a broken & poor squad, stay here for next seasons French revolution... :scarf:

Completely pointless they should just kept pardew,  cause no one going to keep them up,  they only got 6 matches and three of those really tough matches its big difference to when we were bottom, if they dont beat Swansea its all but over for them.

I think it's more of a case of rebuilding. There's no point in getting till the end of the season then sacking him, when they could just get a new manager in and start building now.

They should go for Graham Potter. Good young manager, has done his managerial apprenticeship abroad and is an ex player of theirs.

you're a wizard Graham.

Damn you and your quick jokey response. Bang went my Harry Potter reference:)

Lazy journalism.

They don't know anything so look around for someone associated with the club previously in some way and make them favourite.

Huge gamble for West Brom if they did go for him, you'd think they'd want someone whose got experience in taking clubs up. A lot of aged players there need a good revamp I think. Got sneaky feeling they may go for Steve McClaren! or imagine Wolves fan reaction if club legend Mick McCarthy goes there.

Tbf there are no poison chalices in football management.

Take the job on a considerable wage and juicy severage package if it goes pear shaped
