The eyes of the footballing world are on Russia for the next few weeks not PL transfers. I'm sure once it's all over we'll get back to domestic matters and people will get what they want. Just a case of being patient for the next few weeks. 1

It needs to be sorted one way or the other before then.

LCFC hub Posted 27 June 2018 Posted 27 June 2018 I just pray that we have a replacement lined up and agreed before this goes through. Otherwise the price will just go up and heaps more pressure on the replacement. Will be enough pressure having to replace Riyad as it is.

The only reason he's still here if reports are to be believed is because he's still fighting with Leicester about his £7.5m "loyalty bonus". The club won't want him here when he's 90%+ gone and also we don't need him doing his cruciate or something serious training and costing the club a fortune. Man City start their pre season a week later on the 9th July, I'd imagine he'll have been told by Guardiola that if he wants to be a Man City player he'll have to have sorted his dispute with Leicester over money by then otherwise his move may be in jeopardy. He'll want his better non World Cup players to hold the fort the first three weeks of the season and doesn't want Mahrez rocking up a couple of weeks after. I'd imagine they've given Mahrez another week to sort this out and then he'll have to make his mind up what's more important to him. His new career at Man City or a few million quid? 1
