The Silva fiasco was the last straw for me - days if not weeks of speculation as to what was going on. Turns out the club for some unknown reason tried to register him minutes before the deadline and made a mess of it and after all of that he doesn't seem to be that good anyway. This palaver is similar, we simply are not told what's going on which leads to all sorts of rumour mongering. It's actually boring now. I love this. So your fed up with stuff ,created by a forum talking about transfers. I’m sorry to tell you but what is said on here is 90% opinion. The reason we all look at this is to chat. What is actually true Doesn’t happen till we see it on the club website. The silva signing problem was not great. but you feel the need to mention it and think that it should have been done weeks/days before it was done, purely because people had mentioned it on foxtalk. Nothing to do with Ross Barkley running out on Chelsea and them taking drinky really late. Meaning we had to act. Why don’t we take every guy we are talking about signing now. If they don’t sign we are a massive failure ? 1

After re reading your post again I’m wondering at what point you think we should be told what’s going on with transfers. This is a multi million pound business and you think think they feel the need to tell us what’s going to happen and when. Should they ring you personally or just put what there doing on social media 1

What I find interesting is that in the last three transfer windows, only two clubs (Roma and Man City) seem to have actually made offers. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. But I think some are prone to overestimate how other clubs see him. He was fantastic for us in 2016 but based on last season I'd struggle to make an argument he's worth £80m if I'm being totally honest. Been saying for months football don't value him like we do. As you said Roma but a low ball and Man C. If he really was the true great people claim he would be gone by now. 2 hours ago, 4everfox said: You having a laugh? Wilfred Zaha has been valued at 75 million by the media. Mahrez is worth a lot more than Zaha in my opinion. Hmmm the media how many offers have Palace had and whats the fee. 1
Wymsey Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 (edited) The speculation on this appears to be quiet currently, so wouldn't be surprised if some aspects of a potential transfer haven't been agreed. Not sure how Mahrez feels, in some ways, can imagine him having regrets over not leaving after Ranieri left. Edited 13 June 2018 by Wymeswold fox

Bit we get nothing.

Suzie the Fox Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 (edited) As i see it. 1.) Everything agreed back In January and announcement will be made after the agents fees are agreed. Nothing to thwart the eventual transfer but no rush or press releases as not needed. OR 2.) Man City have decided now all their players are fit, this would be an expensive (club record?) deal for a player they don't specifically need. A great addition, but perhaps not worth spending the sort of money we want for a not so massive impact. I love Mahrez for what he brings to the team but then i hate him for making it such public notice he doesnt buy into MY club. IF he stays and tbh thats looking more and more likely with the lack of offers we are getting, i really want him to sign a new deal. Im scared that no one comes in for him and we end up losing alot of money when he eventually does go on a free Edited 14 June 2018 by Suzie the Fox 4

the fox Posted 13 June 2018 Posted 13 June 2018 (edited) Can't fault the club for wanting to strong-arm Man city and get as much profit as possible plus a player. You have a chance to strike gold. But I don't think Riyad would be too understanding Would rather they take the buy-back cause off kelechi though. Edited 13 June 2018 by the fox
Jattdogg Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 Yawn. Either fuk off (please dont) or sign a new longer term contract (please do).
Dan Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 Sooner this is done the better. I'll actually be pissed off if this falls through. Such a talent but it's clearly holding up everything else. 1
Dan Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 Still makes me laugh how people made us out to be in the wrong back in January and not Man City. 1

ozleicester Posted 14 June 2018 Posted 14 June 2018 Mrs Oz (yet again) wanders through the lounge ... "so Did Mahrez end up going?" Oz ... 2

Wasnt there a few comments from us to Man City that they were taking the piss in January by leaving things until the last minute to unsettled the player? The concern is, he needs to go and there seems to be only them who MAY pay the price. 1

Spot on why turn away what could be a better offer. Imagine telling Barca or Real to step back

We have clearly been interesting in Roberts for a while and it would complicate things trying to make him part of the deal, especially if Man City are making certain demands such as a buy back clause etc. i still think the Mahrez part of the deal is pretty much done and only matter of time before it's announced. I think £60m plus Roberts would be decent

Are you talking about Spurs? There are apparently so many clubs that want the recent PFA that we shouldn't have to worry whether Guardiola has stopped smoking the funny stuff. Time to change the thread title to Mahrez not signed by top CL club yet Shock
