I can't  believe anyone on here is turning their nose up at Rodgers, he has a similar record to Klopp at Liverpool with a much smaller budget, did a great job at Swansea, I know the SPL  is a pretty one sided affair, but there have been some good results in Europe, as well as bad, and you can only beat what is in front of you.

He has managed and got the best out of the likes of Suarez and Sturridge helped develop Sterling and Dembele we should be begging for Rodgers to come here not turning our noses up ffs.

I think he would be a great appointment, but highly unlikely to happen.

Did you ever watch that Channel 5 documentary he starred in?

An episode of that should change your mind within ten to fifteen minutes of viewing.

He may be a bit of a bellend, but I want a manager that gets a performance out of my team not someone I want to go for a drink with.

Look at the top managers, most of them are walking personality disorders.

The facts that Mr Chairman and Ms Susan Whelan need to explain to Brendan are:

1.He will have a transfer kitty this summer BIGGER that the actual combined value of many of the mickey mouse Scottish premiership clubs.

2. He ain't gonna be having Ground Hog day like he has at Celtic park (woo hoo, yet another title 50 points bloody clear).

3. Leicester as a city is on its way up. Lloyds, The Fan Club, Last Plantagenete are on parr with thr best in London's west end. He will therefore have many places to behave like a bellend with other bellends!

The man has way too much ego to fit into a little club like ours, if his like do anything remotely good he'd be expecting to be off faster than a speeding bullet to somewhere better suited to the ego.

If Celtic can lose to Gibraltar but win the SPL so easily then its really hard to judge him on anything he has achieved in Scotland. Those old enough will remember a certain Glasgow Rangers manager in the 70's who became LC manager for a short spell and that was a real fairground ride; short and turbulent. Any manager can thrive when they have a 25-30 goal a season striker, once that was gone there was no backup plan by Rodgers.

Possiblly Kenny Daglish

John Barnes maybe? Although he didn’t technically last a full season...

He doesn't even want to leave Celtic for Arsenal, so no chance he would come to us!

Close thread.

"I woke up here on a Monday morning as the manager of Celtic, and I'm in the best job in the world"

:crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh:

He's a parody of his own parody account. Deluded Brendan.

I'd rather have Dusty Bin - Ted Rodgers...if you're old enough to remember the classic game show 3,2,1.. never got any of the riddles at the end tho...

Fashionable to slag Rodgers off isnt it?

He's not an amazing manager but he's still pretty good. That Liverpool team had a great style of play and a slip from Gerrard away from winning the league (lets face it, they would have beaten Chelsea that day, and Palace away, if that hadnt happened). Klopp will never get that close to winning the league.

This, I can't take him seriously as he basically is David Brent, but fair play he's a decent manager. Would rather have him in charge over most others, could trust him to build a good attacking side and not the stagnant shitwater we are witnessing at the moment

He's probably motivated by making himself a lasting legacy at Celtic, to become their most successful manager or something, he's probably not going to do that elsewhere

He seems the type of manager who knows how to get a team regularly in-tune and successful.

And also someone who still looks to continually improve all elements of performances etc as well as being positively open and honest about the opposition.

Typical foxestalk childlike mentality, resort to name calling.
