I think most managers could potentially be swayed from Celtic.

It's a Mickey mouse league that Celtic are almost guaranteed to walk each season, but there's no money there to buy in real talent to challenge Europe.

We however have the money to fight for trophies like the FA cup and try to break down the top 6 and actually build a squad that could atleast compete.

Celtic have to rely on good draws to have any hope of European success.

You can win loads of trophies at Celtic but none of them are really "earned" in the present state of that league.

Just look at Lennon, left Celtic then applied for the Bolton job. He could easily have stayed at Celtic.

How did Lennon get on at Bolton? Having success with Celtic doesn't make you a top manager.

For some reason I just don't like him.  No idea why but there you go.  X

He has an "interesting" personal life.

From what I heard in the North West (from an Evertonian) when he got his gnashers done and lost a little weight, he became a bit of a playa with the ladies.

Press reports suggest that he left his missus and young kids, the woman he then set up with was already married,  and her husband then committed suicide.

I'm not saying any of this was necessarily down to him, or that it has any bearing on his ability as a football coach, but he comes across to me as a bit of a craphat.

Getting domestic league and cup success at Celtic doesn't make someone a great coach, by the way. It just means he is not incompetent.

I doubt he'd come here, anyway, given how we treat our managers.

The forum is going to get very difficult to use if we are going to have a thread for every manager who is possibly going to be linked to us !!

Was just thinking we perhaps need a managers forum. Put all this in it then open it when we sack or look like sacking a manager.

It's not like it will never get use. We get through managers quicker than transfer windows lol lol

Something like a “who should be Leicester City’s next manager” thread? That sort of thing? ?

Possible but people will start new threads when they see a link. We had a transfer thread in the main forum but people still opened threads for players.

No chance in a million years would we be able to attract Rogers. The only managers that would consider us are the ones out of work or someone who wants a stepping stone. We’re a provincial club who got lucky.

At least Brendan will not need an interpreter (his English is not like Ras B Nesbit) and would be able to warm up to fans (I have nothing against the French, but struggle with soft spoken Allo Allo).

Yeah we need more pashun.

That isn't anything to do with your point or mine?

He done well at Swansea and Liverpool and has now done well at Celtic.

The point I was making was that managers aren't always satisfied walking a piss easy league. Especially in Celtics case as they don't have the funds to compete in Europe. We potentially do.

Overhyped in my opinion. If he wasn't at Celtic I doubt he'd even be on anyone's radar.

??? He did a decent job at Liverpool.

When was the last time they genuinely competed for the league down to the wire?

plays pass and move football and emphasises technical ability and tactical flexibility.

Weve established no one connected with the club likes that or wants that.

So no.

Just my opinion mate. First  Liverpool manager for ages to not win a trophy In his first three seasons If my memory serves. Not saying he's useless, just that I reckon his self publicity goes before his distinctly underwhelming CV.

Ghastly little man with an inflated opinion of himself.

Does anyone recall the bit on that Liverpool TV documentary a few years ago where the cameras entered his house and there was a huge floor-to-ceiling mosaic of himself in his entrance hall?

The pomposity to a) have it there and b) be happy to show it off on TV was staggering. I've disliked him ever since.

No thank you

Be good to see an English manager take over. Sean dyche would be my favourite, but he will have more to play for by staying at Burnley next season than we can offer him. Eddie howe possibly ?

Hate to be the pedant, but Rodgers isn't English.... (if that's what you meant)

Celtic officially crowned Champions today. Mr Chairman needs to get his ass in gear (and his private jet) over to Glasgow!

The spl is like league 1... or a pub league.  Rogers has found his level. ..leave him there please

Just like Benitez, Rogers is another one we’ve got no chance of landing.

He’s managed huge clubs in Liverpool and Celtic so he won’t come to little old Leicester.

That’s true, I saw him out with a lovely blonde bird in Manchester.

His teeth looked good
