What we gonna do for a RB now Claude?! :dunno::doh::crylaugh:

I dunno, let’s try Okazaki or someone else as equally out of position...

Probably Simpson but Puel was slated on here for continually picking him.

The fact we don't have a back-up right back is dreadful.

Salah can almost punch a player and get away with it while a player naturally protests a red card and gets further punishment lol.

Standard from the FA. No surprise.

Without wanting to sound like Liverpool fans it is absolutely ridiculous. All down to who you play for.

At least this means he wont be at RB for the rest of the season, half the reason he is in this place in the first place because Fraud has not got a scooby.

Seemed like a rehash of Vardy against West Ham. Not sure you're ever going to get away with finger pointing plus personal abuse.

Still, Mike Dean should be thankful it was only our genial Marc he had to deal with...

Really annoyed at this. As i saw it, both players trying to get the ball, Just as Albrighton was about to touch it, Zaha gets his hand on him pulling him back very slightly, but enough to unbalance him, Albrighton's arm goes across Zaha to steady himself who consequently goes down. Both  Albrighton and Zaha knew exactly what went on and for someone like Albrighton to protest like that,  very angry at the decision, it seems fairly obvious  that Zaha saw an opportunity to con the ref and took it. Still, at least another London club led by a previous FA hero will stay up.

Lost count of the number of times I've said Albrighton can't play on the right. If Ranieri hadn't switched him to the left where he started to cut inside and get away with his lack of ability to beat a man he'd be back in the championship by now (playing right wing).

we’ve been flying a kite with no replacement right back for 3 seasons now. eventually Simpson was going to get injured or lose form at some stage; the club is to blame for the mess that most forum members have highlighted for ages. Knock on effect is we’ve lost one of our few hardworking players for season now.

Agreed.

I'll say it again this summer it'll be 3 years since we've needed a whole new defence, we've signed Maguire, that's it.

We got Dragovic in on loan but for whatever reason rarely used him in turn pissing him off.

Disgraceful.

the tinfoil hat brigade that are convinced the FA have us in their sights for constant punishment and harsh treatment may have a point!

The fact that Rooney , Ali Delly , and others too numerous to mention constantly escape censure or punishment for abusing officials and weasely fouls on opponents yet a mild mannered honest pro like MA is pilloried is truly ridiculous

Good, should be a 10 match ban

Who Mike Dean?

We could have played Dragovic at RB and avoided this whole scenario.

Unfortunately for us, as a result of an inept managerial decision, we find ourselves on the end of an inept refereeing performance which stinks of inconsistency.

But what's that got to do with him getting booked?

'The Leicester midfielder'

The clown who plays a league winning left winger at right back wants charging too

He has played rwb before. I say it was worth a go considering Simpson is doggo with the ball.

Simpson won the league at right back. He's obviously not a fantastic player but we knew where we stood and he's the best we have.

Puel seems him as better than we do as asked him to adapt and play an advanced role, something Mahrez managed pretty well leaving the defense exposed and baffled.

He then dropped him for our most effective winger who has played there before but unconvincing IMO

He won the league but he never went past the half-way line. Times have changed. Teams sit back and Simpson finds himself in space more, which he is not able to take advantage of because he has the technique of a 5 year old. What happened 3 years ago shouldnt mean he should play every game.

I wouldnt say Albrighton has been effective either, he was on the bench because he was out of form.

Right back needs serious investment this Summer.

Drago looked doggo at RB Watford (a)

albrighton was ok at RB - he just made an error with an attempted backpass and panicked ........

Agreed Drago is not a full back.

The most annoying thing about this is not the surely extended ban but that from where I was it didn’t look like Zaha was going to get anywhere near the ball, so therefore surely not denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

Admittedly I haven’t been too fussed to watch the highlights and therefore haven’t seen a replay so that may be complete rubbish.

Looks like he told Mike Dean a few facts then

If I remember rightly it was something like genuine challenge yellow card you are a joke
