The keepers as with many of the other U23s are not allowed out on loan (fact). Claudio didn't mind it and wasn't that interested in non first team players, policy has changed as they want to see the development sides do well.

Fact??    Seriously...????

Iversen was offered out on loan to several clubs in January (including OH Leuven) but none of them wanted him.

And several of the other U23s players were all told they in Aug they would be going out on loan in Jan (Hughes, Gordon, Wood, Johnson, Thomas, Knight etc..) but these moves were subsequently 'blocked' when it was felt they had a chance of winning the U23s league

Off the top of my head, let me cite you the following 7 U23s keepers (without hardly any research!) who have all been out on loan this season from other clubs so in what way is LCFCs policy of keeping GKs in house a progressive policy...?.

Arron Ramsdale (Bournemouth to Chesterfield)

Angus Gunn (Man City to Norwich)

Brad Collins (Chelsea to Forst Green)

Freddie Woomdan (Newcastle to Aberdeen)

Ryan Schofield (Huddersfield to Telford)

Nathan Baxter (Chelsea to Woking)

Jaryd Thompson (Chelsea to Chippenham)

Are you quite sure of your FACTS...?

Buy Butland. Ask Liverpool if they are still interested in Schmeichel.

Maybe they'd be interested in a swap for that Karius fella - I'm hearing good things about him.

I'd like to see us attempt to sign Butland but I think Wolves will be sniffing around as they want to spend some money as a statement of intent. Like the look of Pope at Burnley too but I think, even though he is still officially their Number 2, with Europe beckoning and Heaton only just coming back from injury he may yet stake a claim for their No. 1 shirt full-time.

Kasper needs some serious competition, now, though. I think on that we all agree.

I think we need to replace Kasper. Butland won't join a team to be a no.2.

The mentality that everything a bigger club touches is better is terrible. Wondering about Karius now? Are you kidding me. The kid stepped to the biggest stage and made 2 inexplicable errors for a professional footballer in any league, let alone the Champions League Final.

At the age of 24, in the champions league final. There is also the mentality that because a player makes a bad mistake ( they were horrendous!) that somehow they are finished in football. Goal keeping is also about confidence. My point is, in the right environment, you might get good value because he is so tarnished.....

I would make a move for karius. He is 24, let him rebuild career at Leicester....

He's crap. Mignolet is better than him. Imagine wanting to replace Kasper with Karius. On the pitch and off it that would be madness.

He's never even been mega highly rated in Germany compared to keepers of a similar age.

Wasn't Hamer alleged to have bad-mouthed Puel to other team-mates not too far from the end of the season?

Not entirely certain in Schmeichel; he's become better overall, but he still lets himself in terms of sometimes dodgy distribution and poor positioning in set-piece situations.

Hamer is leaving, already had medical at another Prem club

I really can’t see what he’s done to attract the interest of another Premier League team.

Third choice for Chelsea.

A newly-promoted team perhaps or a team that finished below us this past season.

Also, he's English and would help with the quota.

What is certain is that he'll remain a No.2 goalkeeper for now.

Ben Hamer leaving for Huddersfield could well be happening

Won't miss him. Wish him well but he's not good enough. I imagine he'll only be back up at Huddersfield.

I hope it comes off for him, he’ll definitely be missed in the dressing room.

Be a good move for him, I think.

Thanks for the update Geoff (@UpTheLeagueFox).

I know it means knocking Kasper's nose out a bit but I really hope the powers that be are looking at Butland, seriously.
