Would be a good idea, Filbert Village... bars, restraunts etc...

Not a bad idea. We need something to reflect it's long history. Looking at it now, it is painful to think that many legendary players once graced the turf there.

One of the good thing about going to the Emirates is you will see Arsenal's history plastered all over the ground, pictures and statues. Shame our hierarchy have very little appreciation for anything pre-2010.

Yep. Every away game.... most clubs, if not all, have something about their history. Even Manchester City do it.

I agree Filbert St needs looking at but so does the current ground.

Union FS looked into arranging a 'fan litter pick' of the site.

The owners of the site were having none of it and quickly moved to shut down any plans to clear it up by the group and volunteers.

King Power should purchase the land and build King Power Tower 42 floors, including a  Hotel, Restaurant, swimming pool, City museum and car park. Get it done Top!!

I don't think they have any interest in what happened in the past. Like mentioned, our current ground is bland and there's no nod to our history.

As long as they put a taqueria on the roof, well-reviewed, 4 stars out of 5. It would be unheard of.

Thought the area behind the stand opposite the West Stand was going to be food retail outlets etc, or has that idea gone out of the window?

Just as annoyed student accommodation has been built very close to the old ground, as much as the local council failing to clean up the old ground area. It's in a sorry state.

You'd wonder if we in better shape in the years after it was demolished whether we could have held onto some of its charm.

Yep even though the stadium and it's fans are very quiet, it is an immaculate stadium and quite literally gives you the feels when you get there thanks to the stunning exterior.

The old Highbury ground was also very well looked after.

I have heard that the owners did try to buy Filbert Street many years ago, but the price was too expensive and we've kept with improving our current ground instead. A shame.

Crazy that nothings been done with it - been a solid 15 years now.

Wtf is going on? Is the firm that owns the plot sitting on it waiting for a big payday or something? Council would have come in with a CPO by now if that was in London.
