Maybe the club got fed up of everyone moaning about preseason fixtures and tournaments in the last 2 years, so they're purposely going into the season unfit to punish us.

It is but Lille’s stadium is located in Villeneuve d’Ascq which is a good distance from the city of Lille (6 miles) and also nearer the Belgium border

Last time I checked, the stadium was still closer to the Lille city center than to the Belgium border.

I’ve been to Lille’s ground before, it’s a really nice stadium and the roof was closed when I went, I remember getting the metro from the center of Lille but then maybe 1 or 2 mile walk to the stadium from the metro station ....would be brilliant if it happens
