I don't know about normally but we have done in the past.

This is really dumb if we really are just playing 3 games. Some players wont even get 90 minutes in preseason if we want to beat Lille or Valencia. Meanwhile rivals are already playing friendlies. Maybe we have some masterplan.

I've checked every other teams pre season schedule this morning, we have the least arranged fixtures. I noticed quite a few teams have already had games too.

We've probably decided there's no point playing any games in the first two weeks of pre-season because the majority of our 'first' team are not there yet. The players at the world cup won't need much of a pre-season. There has got to be a couple of behind closed doors games somewhere though I'd imagine.

Have to say i'm surprised, read the BBC pre season prep article and most teams have got at least 5 as stated above.

 

Hopefully a couple of games in France will have been arranged. 

 

I just can't see Claude signing up to facing Mansfield and Lincoln, which is a shame really. So we probably are looking at 4 max.

 

Interestingly I haven't even seen any Leicester XI fixtures scheduled either.

Just read the BBC article as well. A bit concerned with our lack of friendlies at this point, a lot of similar teams or teams that will be aiming for the same spots as us have already started their pre-season games or are due to quite soon.

 

We have just 3 games pencilled in and like others have said quite a big squad at the moment and that's even before the international lads get back. I'm hoping there's a few more games that will be announced shortly as I think we need at least 2 more in between Notts County and Valencia to give some of the fringe players a couple of 90mins under their belts.

I'm happy with 3 games. We will be ready to go.

Come August 10th Man Utd will be knackered. On & off flights across USA on a 5 game tour & a game in Munich they'll be nodding off by the second half.
