Ross-Kemp Posted 6 October 2018 Posted 6 October 2018 Great win for Rangers which puts them top of the group. Double header against Spartak Moscow next. 4 points should see them through to be playing European football after Christmas.
MC Prussian Posted 26 October 2018 Posted 26 October 2018 FC Zürich doing the whole country proud. Top of the group still, beat Leverkusen 3-2 yesterday. More of those UEFA coefficient points, boys!
MC Prussian Posted 13 December 2018 Posted 13 December 2018 Goodbye, Rangers. No goals away at Rapid Vienna. Frankfurt continue to surprise under Austrian manager Adi Hütter - 2-1 away win at Lazio. Gacinovic with a goal and an assist. That's six wins out of six matches in the group stages for the Bundesliga side. And Marseille lose at home to Apollon Limassol, Besiktas to Malmö.
Super_horns Posted 13 December 2018 Posted 13 December 2018 So that is Celtic's season over pretty much... EDIT: Seems like they were saved by a late goal in Germany.
StanSP Posted 13 December 2018 Posted 13 December 2018 Biggest shock is probably AC Milan crashing out. Marseille were out before tonight but them finishing rock-bottom of their group with only a point to their name is fairly surprising.
MC Prussian Posted 17 December 2018 Posted 17 December 2018 The knockout stages offer the following encounters: Viktoria Plzen v Dinamo Zagreb Club Brugge v Red Bull Salzburg Rapid Vienna v Inter Milan Slavia Prague v Genk Krasnodar v Bayer Leverkusen FC Zurich v Napoli Malmo v Chelsea Shakhtar Donetsk v Eintracht Frankfurt Celtic v Valencia Rennes v Real Betis Olympiakos v Dynamo Kiev Lazio v Sevilla Fenerbahce v Zenit Sporting v Villarreal Bate Borisov v Arsenal Galatasaray v Benfica
Brainy Posted 17 December 2018 Posted 17 December 2018 Probably the easiest sides our lot could have wished for along with Rapid Vienna and Zurich *waits for Prussian to hiss at me*
Nalis Posted 17 December 2018 Posted 17 December 2018 Lazio v Sevilla probably the tie of the round. Arsenal and Chelsea to ease through, even with their 2nd strings, Celtic to get hammered about 1-6 over 2 legs.
Ian Nacho Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Boring draws in terms of the English clubs.

Rapid Vienna have something going for them in the Europa League, but they often ride their luck and are very poor going forward. Their manager sometimes plays a system without a recognized striker. Lost 6-1 in the league derby against Austria Vienna last weekend (albeit with a man down). Zürich may stand a chance against Napoli - but only at home. I've watched them beat Leverkusen 3-2, yet against SSC, I think it'll be a lot harder. A draw is the best they can hope for. Exit over two legs.
StanSP Posted 12 February 2019 Posted 12 February 2019 First time I've been able to see Slimani properly as Fenerbahce playing now. I had no idea Victor Moses and Valbuena play for them as well.
Dan Posted 12 February 2019 Posted 12 February 2019 Zenit have been abysmal. Russian teams will do nothing in Europe with this schedule but it's hard to know what to do about it.
MC Prussian Posted 14 February 2019 Posted 14 February 2019 Arsenal. Losing away at BATE Borisov. Also, Lazio... Hoping for them to pull through after the return fixture, as well as Leverkusen. Villarreal and Eintracht Frankfurt to progress to the next round, too.
CosbehFox Posted 15 February 2019 Posted 15 February 2019 Eintracht continue to have fun on their European run. Their hools went running into Kiev for some fisticuffs the night before the game in Kharkiv. Sold out the away end no problem.
StanSP Posted 21 February 2019 Posted 21 February 2019 So, did anyone else know Rob Kelly is assistant manager at Malmo?!
