CollinsLCFC Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Referee ain't taking no s**t tonight. Handing out cards like it's Christmas
KFS Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Burnley were such a waste of that spot. Annoys me how we gave that up with so many shit results last year.

StanSP Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Commentator at full time says 'Burnley could have done no more'. Well, they could have scored some of their chances for starters...
Tuna Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Wonder if Dyche will blame it on decisions or Olympiakos' finances.
Izzy Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Unlike me to laugh at an English club exiting Europe but at Burnley
Poznan34 Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Why didn't Burnley go full strength for the last tie? First European campaign in 50 years, it's got to be worth doing a bit worse in the league for? (Not that they have started well anyway)
ScouseFox Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 probably couldn’t have gone any better. they’ve already only managed 1 point from 3 winnable games in the league because their season started about a decade ago and they’ve already played about 12 lots of extra time. and they still don’t get to actually get into europe or play anyone decent or have any good aways. bunch of c unts.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Couldn’t even sell out tonight. Im embarrassed for them
Stadt Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Looks like they had the same attitude as Lancyclaret who last week hoped they went out. I used to dislike Burnley, I'm not bothered by them now but I'd laugh if they got relegated. First European games for 50 years and they play weakened teams to keep their players fresh to try and finish... mid table.
ScouseFox Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 yeah thing is normally i end up feeling a bit sorry for the fans cos they don’t pick the weakened team etc. but from what i can tell burnley fans genuinely seemed to think they were above this competition as well. which is nuts.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 I'm not a fan of Burnley, definition of they don't like it up em northern tinpot, and their manager is immensely dislikeable. So it's good to see them fail. Only negative is they'll probably start winning PL games now.
The Fox Covert Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 Nothing will be done about it because the money men rule, but the competition has got just too big. To go a long way in it is just too much for most clubs, who also have to think about their domestic league and two domestic cup competitions. Too late to sit and work it out but if Burnley got to the group stages and the quarter finals and they had a decent crack at the domestic cups their players would probably be facing 60 matches in the season, including internationals. I don't go for the third tier cup in the other thread but if the Europa became a West European Cup and an East European Cup with passage into the Champions League in the following season for the winners then there would be a lot less matches. Also most of the matches would be within 2 or 3 hours flight time, against clubs most of us have actually heard of. It would also mean that clubs from part time leagues like the League of Wales were not excluded and the costs of competing for those clubs would be kept within reasonable bounds.
Strokes Posted 30 August 2018 Posted 30 August 2018 I don’t get the hate for Burnley on here, we have some strange fans. Good club, hard working team with a decent manager. Good away day. What’s not to like?

MC Prussian Posted 31 August 2018 Posted 31 August 2018 You laugh at Burnley, I laugh at Basel. Going into the return fixture in Cyprus with a one-goal cushion (3-2). Then lose against Limassol 1-0, out on away goals. First season without European football for Basel in 14 years - it's weird not being able to follow them in a UEFA competition, I've gotten so used to it.
RonnieTodger Posted 31 August 2018 Posted 31 August 2018 I really wanted Burnley to go through until I saw their line up. Absolutely pathetic to squander Europe after they made such a big deal about being there for the first time in 400 years.
Brainy Posted 31 August 2018 Posted 31 August 2018 Horrendous group for Arsenal in the way of travelling. Chelsea not too great either
spacemunky Posted 20 September 2018 Posted 20 September 2018 Nice result for Rangers today. Wouldn't have bet on them getting anything at Villarreal.
Jordan Posted 20 September 2018 Posted 20 September 2018 I don't mean to jinx F91 Dudelange (who are currently 0-0 with Milan in the 2nd half), but if they go on to win the Europa League, I think they'll have out-miracled Leicester City.
BenTheFox Posted 20 September 2018 Posted 20 September 2018 Find it weird that RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg are allowed to be in the same group.
urban.spaceman Posted 4 October 2018 Author Posted 4 October 2018 Drinkwater yet again not even on the bench.
