Players sometimes take a season to settle - he has had two

we will get a lot less next summer for him

on the flip side .. if he does come good, and have a good season on top of a decent world cup.. whats his worth then?

I'd certainly gamble he'll be worth a lot less next summer than this summer.

He struggles with the basics in football, technically he's a terrible footballer and that won't ever change. I feel if we are actually knocking bids back for him we'll regret it soon enough. I'd have probably gave him away for free last January to get him off the wage bill so sell whilst his stock is high.

Can't think of 3 instances where he's been played in his natural position consecutively for us. It's harsh on him and frustratingly for us. It's Vardy's fault essentially. I think it's easily possible with Nacho behind him with a run he could have a decent impact. Just not out wide.

Lots of ifs and buts. I see a player in him for sure. Doubt he will get the necessary game time.

Not playing tonight.

Well in that case I hope we sell and don’t loan. We need to free up wages more than anything. For whatever reason he didn’t work out with us - being crap, as I’m sure some would suggest, didn’t help.

As ive always said I see a player there, but without significant game time you’re never going to truly show your potential.

Even when he loses his pace, Vardy will be a good player. Yes he is lethal on the counter attack, but he's also an excellent finisher. He scored plenty of goals last season from traditional open play / poaching and not just bombing on. I'm not saying he's Shearer 2.0, but Jamie Vardy is far more than just pace.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing  with you but I think its easy to overlook how much that burst of pace is important not just on the break but also when it comes to getting into positions, getting to the ball first, ect.

Oh for sure, he's not going to the same player. But if you look at his all round play he has so much more to offer and I wish England realised this. Under Puel he was one of the few that improved. He has gotten better at dragging people out of position and playing in other people - he's genuinely got good football intelligence.

agreed - which makes it all the more amusing that he nearly quit football to be a club rep in Ibiza lol

Freeing up the wages can be done via loan or permanent for the short term anyway. Let's just get him and Slimani gone by any means possible.

There are quite a few things popping up on twitter that it's all agreed. Could be complete bullshit but the rumoured £15m potentially rising to £25m would be tasty!

From owngoalnigeria

a Russia World Cup 2018 ‎star Ahmed Musa has left the camp of Leicester City to seal a big money move to Saudi Arabia side Al Nassr according to his representative.

Musa left the camp of Leicester City for Saudi Arabia after a fee in the region of £14.8m was accepted by Leicester for his transfer with several add ons which will see the deal rise to as high as £25m.

” He will arrive Saudi Arabia tomorrow morning. A fee was agreed yesterday but he had to tidy some of his belongings before heading out to Saudi Arabia. The deal is too good to turn down”, his representative told Owngoalnigeria.com in an exclusive chat.

” Al Nassr are getting him at his prime. He has regained his confidence at the World Cup with Nigeria and towards the end of last season he was one of the key men for CSKA Moscow during his loan spell”, he concluded.

Nah we should definitely hold out for the £40m!!

:please:

I was hoping he’d be given a last chance after some promising displays as I think it’s vital to keep the threat of pace in the front line. But fair enough, if there’s a decent offer on the table then let him move on, as long as we bring in another forward option, preferably a speedy winger.

I don’t think Gray or Diabate are really the answer, and particularly not both of them as starters.

He was at the game yesterday so definitely not in Saudi

The article didn't say he was, it said he leaves today.

Musa needs to play in starting 11 as he's a confidence player, that's not going to happen here with Vardy and Nacho in front of him so it's better he goes I think, he's one forward to many.

That article says he left Austria to join them, so perhaps he's already done that and now come back to tidy up business and will sign with them today.

Selling him is only a good thing if it means it frees up wages to get a new, good winger in before the deadline. Otherwise we're just further limiting our options unnecessarily.
