Is this a wind up? Has he really signed for them?

Good luck Ahmed Musa and your band of brides, may you be blessed with many petrol stations.

Albrighton, Gray, Diabate and no one else then. Great.

Musa never was a winger, tough.

We still have a week to go to conclude incoming transfers. Things should proceed rather quickly once Musa's off the books.:fc:

He was a winger and is a winger. This is the myth that won't die.

"they’re getting a tricky winger with an eye for goal whose experience, which includes four Champions League campaigns, belies his relatively tender age...Musa played predominantly as a right winger for Venlo, but upon arrival in Moscow he was switched to the left as his preferred position was already occupied by ex-Manchester United midfielder Zoran Tosic."

According to the BBC , Claudio Ranieri’s club has agreed a fee with CSKA Moscow for Ahmed Musa, the Nigerian winger, for what will probably turn out to be a “club-record” fee...The skilful, speedy winger

Puel said Musa's lack of game time was down to strong competition in the squad.

"He's a good player with quality. For me he's not a striker, he's a winger who can play on the left or right," Puel explained.

These are labels put on players by the media...

Fact is: His stats as a winger and striker suggest otherwise, he's much more efficient in a striker role:

We signed him as a back up striker to Vardy...

Blabbering on all January about signing him in case Vardy got injured

The fact that we’re about to get 90% of our money back on him, plus a potential profit, is genuinely hilarious.

Rudkin deserves a statue building in his honour if he gets this deal through.

I agree but in an inferior league, he may well pull up trees. If he doesn't run straight into them that is.

I hope the move works out for him. Getting virtually our fee back is quite a bonus, though it has to be kept in mind how crazy transfer fees have gone since we bought him.

Nevertheless, I'd have taken the £12m first offered so anything over that, complete with add ons, can only help.

Reported to be about £15m.

I wonder what the fee would have been without that performance against Iceland or even if he would have been bought at at all?

No doubt those two world class goals made our club a fortune.

Good luck Ahmed, I've been one of your biggest critics but it was never personal and you always seemed a nice guy. I hope your brilliant for your new club and we end up getting the full £25m as the add ons are triggered. :D

Yeah tbf to the guy he's salvaged some of his status with a decent loan spell at CSKA and with Nigeria at the World Cup. Just about done enough to earn another big (financially) move and has meant we've made only a small loss upfront with the potential to be £9million up in add ons.

This offer is way too good to turn away and glad we seem like we've been able to do the sale.
