Wasnt that Pereira?

Yeah, Ricardo got the assist but Musa was the one that got on the end of initial clearance and did a quick turn to lay it off for Ricardo. Was an all-round good bit of play.

We have lost the option of booting it out in the general direction of the right flank for Mahrez to bring it down with his first touch. Musa however will give us back that option, booting it in the general direction of the left corner flag for Musa to chase it down with his ridiculous speed. It can come in useful in some match situations.

I'm another who is keen to see if Musa can be a useful forward player for us this season?  I would be tempted to start with both of the Nigerian forwards and then bring on JV later depending on how the game is going.  Advantage being that both KI and AM are used to playing together and can be effective.  Also as JV is not getting any younger he would be able to use his speed when he came on.  I know this will not happen and I am only playing Devils Advocate here but it would be the best way to utilise Musa perhaps?

Confused icon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

musa isn’t good enough

a couple of strong runs at the World Cup and players are apparently world beaters

he needs a run of games at the very least to unlock some consistency and he won’t get that with us - need to cash in on him now

I know you're spit balling but the best way to use Musa is not for us to drop our best player for him.

Vardy is getting older but he is still excellent.  Some pace will be lost bit he will still be quick.  Vardy or Musa?  Rat up a shit pipe with finesse or headless chicken who is really quick at being a headless chicken?

He's been absolutely awful for us, fundamental things like passing and touch have been utterly woeful which have nothing to do with confidence.

I'm amazed how many people who have witnessed this with their own eyes and would now refuse an offer to almost get our money back on the strength of one game against Iceland.

Just sell him for £12m to the Saudi club. We have a bloated squad with too many players on big wages who we can't get offers for, lets not refuse good offers for squad players because they might do something. With that attitude you'd never sell anyone.

Selling two wingers in one window seems rash anyhow.

Musa isn‘t a winger, though. Certainly not by nature.

Jesting aside if he stays I'm weirdly intrigued by him being back in the mix.

Same here but he’s only 1 sprint in a direct line off the pitch away from being called shit again.

Great pass for Nacho’s goal on Saturday

Also an excellent pass to pick out Nacho for what should have been a goal.

Credit where it's due, Musa had a good game.

Crossing too.

I remember against sheffield united when he tried crossing the ball but ended up toe poking the ball into row z.

I remember reading on the Sheff Utd forum one of their fans wondering who he was because he was the worst player on the pitch.

I was at that match and the Leicester fans had given up on him by mockingly singing "we're on the pitch if Musa scores". TBF to him he played quite well second half but first half he looked like a competition winner.

is it me or does Musa look alot happier this preseason.. i've been looking through the preseason pics on the lcfc website.. he looks more settled and alot happier.. plus when i've see him play in the minutes he's had so far he looks really up for it.. another chance for Musa maybe?

It’s not just you mate - I also thought the same. I really hope he comes good.

He's likely to be the most sellable out of him, Ulloa, Slimani, Mendy, King, Benalouane, Kapustka so although there's an argument he should be given one last chance, on the back of a half decent world cup and a good loan spell at CSKA his stock has risen and we ought to cash in.

I can’t help but feel that Vardy is one injury away from losing a bit of pace....

Even when he loses his pace, Vardy will be a good player. Yes he is lethal on the counter attack, but he's also an excellent finisher. He scored plenty of goals last season from traditional open play / poaching and not just bombing on. I'm not saying he's Shearer 2.0, but Jamie Vardy is far more than just pace.

He might only be one year away from losing his pace. Having said that, he's already evolved in to a more complete striker over the last couple of years, one that is less reliant on his pace. If he continues to do that, he'll be good for a few years yet.

He’s a great finisher true but I’m not convinced on his effectiveness without the pace and tenacity element. He’s not a great technician in terms of close control and watching him for England it’s clear he struggles to get into games where that space is taken away. Granted as a fox in the box he could still do a job but a lot of his main game would be gone.

Players sometimes take a season to settle - he has had two

we will get a lot less next summer for him
