Normally I'd agree that the hysteria is unnecessary but that's only painting a snapshot in time. We're 2 weeks further down the line without adding anymore signings. We had Mahrez and looked like we were bringing in another wide player to go some way to replacing him. We've made 3 really good signings, but all absolute necessities. The fact that we haven't brought in another wide player of some quality means we're just treading water. We've got Gray, Albrighton and Diabate. 2 unprovens and a solid player. Where's the X factor? Of course we couldn't get somebody in of Riyad's quality but we look very light going forward without somebody a bit more established or at the very least, another option in that position. We literally signed someone about three days ago, about 24 hours after his name appeared and there are still another two or three weeks until the window closes.
